Netflix has become TV's Dad, eating whatever's left in the fridge that's still good but for some reason no one else wants.

God knows cable tv needs to get in that fridge and nab some of those good treats. I'm so sick of the awful fillers that cable has on day after day. There are tons of great movies out there. They might be older but I'd love to see them.
Slate has an article on how NBC just sold Tina Fey's new comedy series starring Ellie Kemper to Netflix. The season they shot already and next season. It was supposed to air on NBC but the article said that the network is basically giving up on sitcoms.
