CM Punk Fired by WWE

Although he departed the WWE earlier this year, CM Punk is now speaking out publicly and stating that he did not leave voluntarily - he was fired. TMZ has a podcast interview with Colt Cabana, in which CM Punk details that he was given the pink slip on his wedding day to WWE Diva AJ Lee.

  1. Raise your hands, anarchygossipers if you watch WWE.

  2. He is pretty good on The Talking Dead. Knows his stuff about the show. That's how I know him.

  3. I believe The Count would be interested in this. Maybe. Me have no idea who this person is and how can they fire someone? I thought wrestlers got picked by winning fights? What the hell do I know?

  5. He is the only reason I would watch Raw with my husband.

  6. Yes, Phil Brooks was fired from WWE (Sorry, he's not wrestling so he's not going to be called his character's name) ONLY after he walked out on WWE right before a Monday Night Raw episode was about to air the night after the Royal Rumble.

Phil gives all of these reasons; Vince wouldn't give him enough time to rehab injuries by asking him to come back early (Why didn't he just say he couldn't yet?), complains that certain wrestlers are too stiff and injured him (for someone who in the same interview says he always asks "Would Harley Race do this" (who was a legit tough guy) Phil comes off as a pussy, and other bull shit.

Phil was just pissed that he didn't get his way. He continuously mentions that he wasn't the main event at WrestleMania and that is where his beef comes from. The truth is, maybe if he wasn't always complaining, telling Vince and HHH that what they were doing was stupid, treating fans like shit (including hitting one when he went into the crowd knowing that as a bad guy someone would touch him) and believing his T-shirts that said "Best in the World" and that he was above the business, he probably would've eventually main evented Mania.

He didn't have the "look" of a champion. I'm not talking muscles either. He's covered in tattoos, constantly spouts off "Straight Edge" philosophy to everyone, believes he's better than someone who has a beer after work but he still held the title for longer than anyone since Hulk Hogan. The problem is, the ratings nosedived when he held the belt. Sure he had the internet wrestling community on his side, but Mr. and Mrs. America sees their kids watching someone who looks like the guy sleeping in the alley as their "hero" and they turn it off (and he comes by that look naturally, according to many he showers about once a week).

In the interview he also complains that he didn't get leading roles in movies made by WWE when in FACT the roles for those movies were written FOR Cena, HHH and Randy Orton NOT Phil Brooks. He just wants to complain. Fuck him. He goes on his best friends podcast to tell his side of the story (people keep forgetting to add that part) so there is no "Devils Advocate" to press him on his story and he knows that since he doesn't work for them, WWE won't acknowledge it upfront.

As for being fired on his wedding day. He admits HHH called him to talk about his employment and he told him he didn't have time. He couldn't spare a fucking hour in the weeks leading up to his wedding, so I have no sympathy him, at least AJ (his wife) showed up to RAW while planning it. But for all those sad AJ is married and off the market, don't worry, once Phil doesn't get his way he'll be out that door and off to sue her for divorce. Because he truly is the BEST IN THE WORLD at walking out.

  7. Rowdy is right on all points.

CM Punk is a narcissist, as are most "straight edge" people I've encountered. If the entire WWE universe didn't revolve around him, he wasn't happy. It was beat that in his year + as WWE champ, his title defense constantly got bumped from the Main Event of the PPVs, but he aint John Cena, the merchandise selling juggernaut, so he has to suck it up and deal with it.

Either his marriage or AJ's WWE career will be short. If you read or listen to how whiny and bitter he is, can you imagine what he is saying to AJ when she gets home from a week of wrasslin?

AJ is so little and hot. 5'2, 110lbs of Dirty Jersey Latina, and she can take a punch. Mmmmmmm. I figure that if she resigns a contract w/ WWE, she will trade up for the next guy at the top of the card. Maybe Roman Reigns or Cesaro. She is a ring rat at heart, so it is to be expected.

I wish WWE was still TV-14 and had AJ pose for Playboy, or that she did some porn to pay for wrestling school, like Mickey James did. As it is, she allegedly banged "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal in exchange for him teaching her how to work. Lucky bastard.

    1. A little insider info I can't believe I have haha. I dated a guy for awhile that owned an Indy fed. CM punk is indeed an ass. He was an ass even while doing indies. I don't know if this means anything but I've hung out with Jerry Lynn many times and Nigel McGuinness a few and both were great guys. Lynn is just a sweet stand up wonderful guy. I couldn't say better things about him. Completely humble and chill. He was my fave. McGuinness was the only one able to charm me. The accent helped. Plus he was just cool and fun and he also had the balls to hit in me in front of my boyfriend. Who didn't even bat an eye when he grabbed my ass. And if he hadnt been so damn charming I would have let him have it. And Punk is t as straight edge as he claims. He doesnt drink that's true and he does have an attitude about it. I died when my then bf offered to buy him a beer. Wrestling really wasn't my thing but some of those after parties were a lot of fun. Anyone one heard of jimmy jacobs? He's douchetastic too. He was always in character and too good to talk to anyone. But I broke that boy down by pretending he didn't exist. Couldn't stand it so he started going out of his way to talk to me and I always blew him off. Dude deserved it though for how he treated people. Anyway I know this thread is old and no one may even care about who I mentioned, but there is my scoop.

  8. Of course I'm right! I'm the Bobby Heenan of the 21st century and you remember how truthful he was all those years about Hogan.
