Dancing With The Stars Finale

Alfonso Ribeiro, longtime Dancing With the Stars fan, received two perfect scores Monday night and went on to be crowned the season 19 champion. Witney Carson, Alfonso's pro partner, celebrated her second DWTS season and first mirrorball win. Sadie Robertson and her partner Mark Ballas were the runner-ups; Janel Parrish and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy came in third.

Other highlights:
Twitch dancing with his semi-newlywed bride Allison Holker and her partner Jonathan Bennett
Lolo Jones bringing back her RBF
Nick Jonas performing his single, "Jealous" as America realizes that the catchy song they don't switch off on the radio is done by a Jonas Brother

Alfonso and Witney closed out the night. "Ten years ago I wanted to be here," said Alfonso. "And I've wanted to be here every year in between." High five to Alfonso! How'd you like the season?

  3. Good morning everyone. I was on the field at a Charger game years ago when Alfonso sang the National Anthem. He was fabulous and the players loved him.

    Congrats Carlton.

  4. Yea Alfonso! I remember, years ago, that two commenters on CDAN had dated him and they were comparing notes on their relationship with him. They agreed that he was a genuinely nice guy, only dated blondes and would become ENRAGED anytime a fan would ask him to dance "The Carlton."

  7. The DWTS season is so long, I predicted his win back on CDAN before the redesign. Now I can't even begin to find that post.

Congrats, Alfonso, we'll just ignore that you were a trained dancer as a pre-teen who appeared in The Jackson's Pepsi commericial. :)

  8. Janel & Val should have won. Bethanny & Derek should have been 3rd place. They stiff competition between the top four made this the best season ever.
