Shia LaBeouf Gives Silent Interview

Shia LaBeouf, in a very Shia LaBeouf move, recently sat down for an hour-long silent interview. The silence was captured by GoPro cameras. In the run up to the silent interview, LaBeouf corresponded via email with the interviewer. Among the topics that were discussed? Shia alleges that he was raped during his silent art installation. From The Hollywood Reporter:
"He writes that one woman "whipped" his legs for 10 minutes, "and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me." LaBeouf adds that his girlfriend was in line to see him when the alleged rapist walked out with disheveled hair and smudged lipstick and, he says, word of what transpired inside reached her. "It really hurt her as well," LaBeouf says. "When she came in she asked for an explanation, and I couldn’t speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma silently. It was painful."

  1. I call BS on this. I think LaBeouf has some serious, serious issues.

  4. Howdy ya'all. This is a strange story. I hope he is in a better place now- just, bizarre stuff.

  5. What?! I get that he's all "arty," but if you're doing a silent art installation, and someone starts taking your clothes off and you don't want then to, wouldn't most people stop the whole art thing and say "Stop removing my clothes"?! Or like move or something? This is a new level of bizarre

    1. And then there is a line in the story that says: 'So it really hurt her (LaBeouf's girlfriend, Mia Goth) as well, as I guess the news of it travelled through the line."

News travelled down the line of people waiting? How does that happen? From noises emanating from inside the silent exhibition? If so, does that mean that nobody in the line thought perhaps they should intervene if they heard sounds of someone being hurt?

    2. Did the woman with her smudged lipstick come running out with her strap-on still on?
How else would henhave been "raped"?

  6. This guy is off his rocker. Silent interview? Why was his girlfriend in a line to see him? How did "word reach her"? Did word reach everyone else, too? Did a security guard whisper in her, "Your boyfriend was just raped" and pull her out of the line? Trauma silence?

    Dude, get some help.

    1. Not only that but if "word spread" through the line, then the media would have been all over this. NO ONE suffers through RAPE for the sake of their ART. I can't believe I actually had to type that last sentence.

  7. But I don't want somebody

  8. What in the name if sweet baby jesus is wrong with this guy? I think its his wacky ass upbringing which i think may hv included his mother boffing him. His father is another nutjob, with the drugs and sex. Please shia, get help sweetie. This bag thing and not talking aint cutting it for you. The bag on head thing is" you cant know me, if u knew you wldnt like me" and the not talking is he cant articulate his trauma, but can someone please guess. The rape story and his reaction to it is extremely self punitive, like he deserves that. And the amateur clinic is now closed, lol

    1. And what is the psychological profile of the women who keep getting into relationships with him?

He can go to rehab as many times as he wants. It won't matter. I think that his abuse problems are a way for dealing with deeper issues.

  9. I don't like this kid at all but there is something very wrong there. I don't know if it's true or not but shouldn't someone who says they were raped at least be listened to instead of mocked?
If it's not true then he obviously needs some help.

    1. In this instance I would guess that he is drinking again. However, I do think that when rapists choose their victims, they often choose someone with limited credibility, so their word will be taken over the victim's word.

  10. @IJU, I don't think it's the rape itself, it's everything surrounding him. He said if his mother wasn't his mother, he'd marry her b/c she's a sex goddess. Who says that about their mother?! He did that nympho movie that involved blood and flipped his wig with the bag on his head. Rape allegations should always be taken seriously, I totally agree, but the context is way off. He has huge issues due to whacked out parents. And from his Wiki:

"At age 10, he began performing stand-up at comedy clubs, describing his appeal as having "disgustingly dirty" material and a "50-year-old mouth on the 10-year-old kid."

    1. Yeah, he's a weird and messed up guy alright. He is in serious need of help for his mental issues.
If it was a woman with issues making allegations would people be so flippant?
I don't like him at all, but this is the last in a series of bizarre claims and events.
      It's not funny.

    2. The claim is certainly not funny. Regardless of who is making a rape claim, all allegations should be taken seriously. It's just the surrounding details that make it a bit "huh?".

    3. the allegations *should* be taken seriously, yes. that said, FUCK him for thinking his stupid art was more important than reporting a rape/rapist. if she truly did that, he could have easily helped her be captured before she committed that crime again.

because of all that, I think he's 1) crazy, and 2) an unreliable narrator.

  11. So maybe he and the woman engaged in oral sex, it got back to the girlfriend, and they both suffered in silence. Riiiight.

It's the suffering in silence part together that makes it clear this story is bull. He had to come up with some story to explain to the girl friend why he had sex with this woman or he just made it up.

  12. Something really really bad happened to him as a child or he had severe MI. Either way, I hope he gets the help he needs before it's too late.

  13. Way back in the day, when he was on that HBO reality series about a developing film (produced by Matt and Ben, JLo made a very stupid appearance), everyone talked about what a huge talent Shia was. I didn't get it. I thought the kid was nuts and obnoxious. I can't think of a single role of his where I saw "huge talent" displayed, just lots of twitch, like he is besieged by armies of invisible insects.

Don't hate (too much) but Robert Downey Junior strikes me the same way. I'd probably be forced to execute both if stuck inside an elevator with either of them. Two hours of a movie watching them is way too much for me. RDJ is admirable from a certain distance, since he seems to be fighting his demons and winning.

Early childhood drug use? Drug addict parents who allowed and participated in everything? Lives built on extreme sensation to quell the chaotic mind? Shia's story sounds like he got involved in a kinky "art" auction or some such shit, yeah, performance "art" crap where he wanted to play with the boundaries of rape.

    2. @plot Yeah, I remember seeing him on Project Greenlight years ago, and being weirded out by his relationship with his mom then. He needs help.

  14. Did people think the woman taking him was part of the art? I'm confused maybe more so than he is.

    1. Weird, huh? There's a longer version of this on dlisted, and it sort of sounds like she was part of the 'show'..He just keeps walking around with a paper bag on his head and believing he's art.

  15. I care not one whit about this twit. However, I do like Rob Cantor and he did a pretty funny (and catchy) song about Shia. Check it out. It's quite a show.

  16. I don't see his appeal, especially at this point. I say "let him gooo met him goooo"!

  17. To all the hipster douches that think this was avant garde or anything else other than douchey, self delusion- thanks for nothing you airheads.

  18. He seems to be dealing with mental illness on an Amanda Bynes scale. I wish they would both just get the help they need and stay out of the public eye.

  19. His parents did quite the number on him

I think he may have been involved with his mom in a very inappropriate way as @Seven mentioned

Whatever happened I believe it should be taken seriously as either way Shia needs some help

  20. I have heard stories for awhile now about Steven Speilsomething...maybe getting handsy down his pantsy a lot during the filming of the military thing.. and also he was a child actor where pedophile acting coaches and talent managers are everywhere. . Soooo.

  21. Spielberg not a child actor and I doubt he fiddled about while directing.
