What's going on in your world today?

  1. Getting my food allergy results and praying that turkey isn't on there and after two years since the last one, hoping eggs are now safe because eggs are harder to live without than grains! Is anyone else here paleo or somewhat?

    1. Im keto - no grains or sugars. It was weird at first but now, no big deal.

  2. Hey Kat I'm Paleo. Gluten sensitivity which evolved the last few years. What a total pain! I now have my meals catered in. It's too complicated otherwise.

  3. I own a gluten free bakery so I understand fully

  4. 35 MPH winds gusting to 50 MPH here today. The lights are flickering. Everything is dreary. I dislike winter more each year (although it's eerily warm today).

Looking forward to a nice, long weekend -- NO Black Friday shopping madness.

After snippets I was of last nights AMAs, I'm officially on the TSwift is irritating bandwagon.

    1. Taylor Swift is overexposed and I am very tired of seeing her in the DM. Nearly every day. Totally annoying.

  6. We're supposed to almost hit 80 degrees today, but it's supposed to snow on Wednesday--that's the DC area for ya.

    1. Isn't that infuriating? One foot in summer, one foot in winter.

  7. I've been prepping for Thanksgiving, and I also rocked out some paper plate turkey crafts with my 4-year-old son. I'm about to start work in a few minutes. I am running on adrenaline, man. This holiday stuff is insanity.

    1. Loves- thats brutal, i feel for ya. When someone says off handedly oh my baby or someone else has an earache, i always ask have u ever had and earache? U wld be surprised hiw many people havent. I then tell them hiw brutal it is, with your head ringing and awful pain piercing you ears and head. So to round back to the beginning, i feel for ya and hope you feel better soon. :)

    2. Thank you! It's a lot better today thankfully. And the deadline isn't as big as I thought, so I should be fine. Plus, it gives me an excellent excuse to lounge on the couch and catch up on my tv shows. ;)

  10. I've been hearing good things about Jennifer Aniston in this new movie CAKE. I hope she gets the Oscar nomination if for no other reason, then she'll have to spend all awards season in the same room as Angie. Thank you gossip gods!

    1. I've heard good things too and there has been oscar buzz for her. I hope it doesn't diminish once Horrible Bosses 2 comes out. The talk is that it's a real stinker.

    2. I'm not Team Jen or Team Ang. I must say I do feel sorry for Aniston. She'll never escape the Brad/Angelina thing. She may have ridden that horse for a while after they split, but good heavens, it's been almost a decade.

    3. If you think that's bad? I can clearly see ten years down the road, Goop will still be sticking her nose into Chris Martin's love life. We will STILL be hearing about that shit (if she hasn't been locked up for insanity before then).

  11. Work, then on my lunch I get to run to a quick parent teacher conference for my daughter in middle school! Looking forward to a face to face with the teacher who doesn't reply to my emails! (Yep, I'm today I'm THAT mom! LOL!)

  12. Checking my plans for Vegas trip in a couple of weeks.

Enjoying a short work week and a nearly empty parking lot.

Looking for deals on the Neiman Marcus Last Call website.

It was 45 this morning, but supposed to be over 80 by Wednesday. This is why I endure the hot, hot summers. I don't know what I'd do if I lived in Buffalo.

I love this website. Happy Monday.

    1. Buffalo is supposed to have rain today, which is going to really make a mess of the 80"+ inches of snow. Floods are a real concern. My Buffalo FB friends are being very quiet. I'm concerned.

    2. Saw that on the news over the weekend. I'm sure folks are bracing for the floods. Melting for the next few days and then below zero by the end of the week = ice rink. Prayers to all those in Buffalo.

  15. Got our 4 Thanksgiving dinners ordered from HEB so we're all set for Thursday. We're shooting for low maintainence this year. Dad just went in today to get his first radiation treatment for his prostate cancer. He doesn't have to do chemo though, so that's great news.
