JK Simmons Is A Swell Guy

JK Simmons won a well-deserved Oscar this year for his performance in Whiplash, but the actor also wins for Mr. Congeniality. Page Six reports that when Simmons was recently satisfying his burrito craving at Poquito Mas (he likes the scampi burrito), he spotted a couple of LAPD officers in line, and picked up the tab for their lunch. And when a third LAPD officer joined the two already inside, Simmons bought his lunch too. It's refreshing to be able to say this un-ironically: You stay classy, JK Simmons!

  2. I've really liked him on the Farmers commercials. He seemed to have some star power but I know that commercials can pay big for years. Do what ya gotta to pay the bills. Good for him. Shrimp burrito is one of my go to's as well.

  5. I have no idea who this is, but I admire people who pick up the bill for others that they don't even know (and who aren't a Lohan or a Jersey Shoreling).

  6. Nice to know he's as nice as he seems. Ive always enjoyed his work- well maybe to say enjoying Oz may be a bit much, lol. Hes like Bryan cranston and chris cooper- they work for years and suddenly one day you say, wow, wait a sec, this guy is really goid!!

  7. It's awesome that he won because the dude has been around FOREVER and he's been in everything you can imagine.

He's a throwback to that rare breed known as character actors. There aren't very many of them out there anymore. John C. Reilly (and Bryan Cranston) are in that club too. I'd be willing to bet that J.K. Simmons is WAAAY more loaded than a lot of high profile actors because he does so much work. Good for him!
