Actor Will Patton Charged With DUI

Will Patton was charged with a DUI in Isle of Palms, South Carolina on Tuesday. The 60-year-old Armageddon actor blew somewhere between a .08 and .10. According to The Hollywood Reporter, when asked if he had been drinking, Patton told the officer, "Not too much, a couple bottles ... er ... couple of glasses of wine."

  1. You drop a pass, you run a mile. You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile. You get a DUI, you run a mile.

  2. @.08-.10 he had a couple of glasses. NOT a couple of bottles. If he gets lucky he can get it reduced to a wet reckless if they have that in SC which frankly I'm surprised it's NOT legal to drink and drive there. You can get married at like 12 or something. The joke growing up was that kids would elope to FtMill to get married at 13 without parental convent. How the hell they drove there I'll never know.

    2. Sherry, I used to live on Isle of Palms, SC! It's an upscale beach town, and I've never gotten married! :-p

  3. LOL @Sherry. Cops often call drunk drivers "deuces" because they regularly confess to a "couple drinks," with hopes that this "honesty" will be appreciated. All this does is provide probable cause (if the cops didn't have it already) and fuck you later in court. Don't drink and drive, and don't admit to it either- you know the drill!

  5. But it is a very easy to blow over .08 and not really drank that much, not enough to be drunk as we consider it to be drunk, but I am assuming they came by the .08 limit because that is the point at which your ability to drive is impaired. Many places in the world have gone to 0.00.

If a man has two bottles of beer over a one hour lunch as many men do, you could easily blow over .08 if the cop catches you as you leave the restaurant. Average man would not be close to drunk after 2 beers but that's not the point.

For some women one glass of wine could do it though the theory is you can consume one 5 oz glass of wine - and when was the last time you saw a 5 oz glass of wine most restaurants have glasses that are 6 or 9 oz and I remember going to a fine dining establishment and their wine glasses would hold almost a whole 750 ml bottle.

    1. Oops didn't finish my thought, you can drink one 5 oz glass of wine, one beer and 2 oz of hard spirits per hour and you should be fine but there are many factors as well. Some can drink more some have to drink less. You can buy portable personal breathalyzers, not cheap. Some friends of ours did and they said it was a wake up call.
