Damn! What a bummer about Bobby Keys. I've seen him on every Stones Tour between 1972 and 1986. Blew the shit out of the Brown Sugar solo and shared a birthday with Keef. Partied as hard as any of them until he got dropped (literally) at the side of the road during a 1973 tour. RIP Bobby
I just found out a woman who works down the hall from me, passed away last week in her sleep. She was 39! She had two cutie patootie girls she would bring in some days. I'm in shock and so sad. My heart breaks for those little girls. : (
I'm blasting Christmas tunes from some radio station in Chicago. The office is nice a quiet. I put up some decorations and hung my little tree ornament with tiny high heels.
I stayed home today. My coworkers went somewhere for the office Xmas party today and I didn't really see the point of sitting at work by myself. Also it's cold & rainy and I'd MUCH prefer to sit here in my jammies and cuddle on the couch with my dog.
Working at the office in SF today and it's raining. Took me 1.5 hrs to get here on pub trans even. And as the only woman in the company no one ever listens to me. They were placing an order for food supplies and ignored my request for beer. Assholes!
Food, Time and Money and toys drive for Christmas we need lots and lots of toys. So far only 50 percent of what was raised last year and our food bank numbers have nearly doubled. So I was busy trying to drum up more support. Believe it or not last year Justin Bieber saved us
I spent my last bit of money on stuff for myself today since stores were so kind to extend cyber Monday deals. Right now I'm literally scrounging around the kitchen for weird, random stuff to eat bc that was my food money lol. My cats eat better than me! They have enough chicken thighs to last until next week. All I have is cheap frozen fish which I forgot to defrost today and hope it isn't mushy and gross like the last one I bought! And debating if I can substitute a liquid oil for coconut oil in Elanas Pantry Whoopie pies which are heaven if you're paleo or avoid grains and sugar. Can you tell I'm starving?
I hate cold weather. I am miserable and wish I could stay home and hang out in my bed instead of having to brave the cold and make my way to work on sidewalks of ice, Bring on the summer already.
We quit doing Xmas YEARS ago and it's awesome (the only kids we have are 4 legged). All that stuff is just another day. We might do turkey or we might do pizza, Chinese or Mexican. So sick of all the BS that goes with the season. I just can't find it in myself to get worked up about holidays anymore. Not a Grinch so much as over it.
Sometimes I wonder if I am the only one who knows wtf is going on at work. Get it together, people!!!
ReplyDeleteI heard that! The lack of organization round here really grinds my gears.
