I'm not watching 'Peter Pan' live tonight because I had dinner plans and also because I'm not a 7-year old girl in 1982. #PeterPanLive

I remembered that trash was on last night and tuned in second hour. Couldn't watch more than 10 minutes and couldn't believe how bad it looked. I couldn't believe it was an actual network broadcast (maybe PBS circa 1960-maybe). I guess they were looking for 'hate viewers' but who could watch the whole thing?????
I got bored but Anne Hathaway was pretty good and Christopher Walken tap dancing as Captain Hook was INCREDIBLE! Nonchalant isn't even close to describing it. He's so talented and very fun to watch.
I didn't know Jenny was "someone". She was one of the first people to follow me on Twitter when I first started but since she's a comedian, it's probably because of one of my friends friends who was a Canadian actor and comic that followed me, too and kept retweeting my snarky jokes.
Christopher walken rules. Worth watching in anything! But no, not a MUST see, but good on as background as I webisize and read, only looking up when i felt like it.
Just remembering when i first saw this on tv, with Mary Martin as Peter Pam. I guess i was about 5 or 6, and i had alot of questions. What was a nursery? How come all the kids skept in one room? Why was their dog named Nana? Thats what i called my grandmother. Why were their parents so old? How cld they be up and talking and parents never heard them? And they just run off with a stranger? And why was Tinkerbelle so bitchy? What is going on with a croc, native americans and pitates? And wasnt the actor who played the dog also playing Captain Hook? How could he when nana was home in the doghouse? Werent the patents awfully relaxed when kids disappeared? My parents lost their shit when i was out of sight for a minute! And why was a girl playing a boy?
Finally a tweet of the day that is funny and makes sense.

ReplyDeleteGive me Jason Isaacs as Captain Hook any day. That Peter Pan looks like a 35 year old super tall chick. Who was responsible for that?
ReplyDeleteI love Jason!
