Jared Leto Returning to Acting
After touring with 30 Seconds to Mars for the better part of the year, Hurts Like Satan is ready to return to acting. He recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he has picked his next major role; the site speculates that the role will be that of The Joker in DC comic's Suicide Squad. We look forward to his return to the big screen.
I thought he was just on a break?
ReplyDeleteI Thought so too Sugartits. He never officially retired. Besides unless you're a Rolling Stone (and maybe a few others, very few) you can't be a rock stah at the age of 50. Actor yeah.
ReplyDeleteGroupie sex trailing off after Hurts Like Satan bad PR?
ReplyDeleteMaybe new movie role will revive
interest.
Just look at how well Keanu & Dogstar did...
ReplyDeleteI just can't see him as the Joker unless they go with a more comic book look for him. The last thing I want to see is another emo Joker like Ledger's. I mean, it fit the style of the movie but when you are doing a movie with a character with super powers, go full comic style with them. That's what fans want, the comics to literally jump off the screen at them.
ReplyDelete@Rowdy If you are referring to the comic book style of Jack Nicholson, Jim Carey or Tommy Lee Jones era Batman villains I would have to disagree. I hated how cartoony they were. Personally I prefer the Dark Knight Batman style. Btw I don't recall The Joker as having any super powers. I'd rather they didn't even try the Joker again since Ledger nailed it so well. What's the point? Choose another villain like the Riddler or King Tut (ha ha). I find with Batman it's apples and oranges whether you like kitsch cartoony or dark. Not right or wrong per se, just different. I like dark.
