Celebrity Real Estate -- Demi Lovato Relists Home

As if dating Wilmer Valderrama wasn't bad enough, Demi Lovato can't seem to get rid of her home. She moved out in 2012 and this is the fourth time that she has listed it, according to TMZ. For photos of the 6 bedroom/6.5 bathroom home in Toluca Lake, look here.

  1. I'm willing to bet her home isn't the only thing she can't get rid of, after dating Wilmer!

  2. That home is boring and ugly. She should invest some $$$ in repainting

  3. It is called lower the price, if it is going to need a lot of fixing up, definitely no point waiting for the market to bounce back some more.

  4. That's a lot of money to spend on a house that doesn't have anything special about it. Doesn't it kind of look like contractor grade fixtures? Like the stuff you can buy at Home Depot or Lowe's? Even the kitchen is ho hum.

  5. She bought it for 1.5 million, the previous owner had a heck of time selling it too, they must have had it custom made, they tried to sell it many times from 2008 until Demi bought it. Maybe she needs to hire one of those professional stagers or drop the price to dump it because she'll miss out on deals on other houses, the market is not recovered in California yet.

    1. As in many houses have not regained their 2008 market values.

  6. It'll take ALOT of bleach to disinfect that place knowing Wilmer spent time there. Ugh.

  7. It is in good shape and has good bones as they say but worth over 2 million?? doubt it. The listing site has the tax assessment at $1.4 million but I don't know how accurate or up to date the tax assessments are in Cali. Probably some staging and/or paint might help. I watch too much HGTV.

  8. It's a 5,000 square foot house on an 8,000 sq. ft. lot. Factor in the pool and you have almost no lawn. And you're sitting right on top of your neighbors.

    1. No lawn has its advantages if you actually have to cut it yourself but proximity to neighbours at that price, no good.

I do imagine that maybe the lawn will become obsolete one day since water may be too precious to waste on lawns esp in drought ridden California. Got lots of people where I live getting rid of the front lawn and putting in stone and extended garden and we are not drought ridden. Or we all need to switch to more drought resistant grasses. There is an Australian grass that only needs watering when you seed it and only need to be cut once a month. But it is not as nice as the lush sod used in most lawns today.

  9. Looks like a run of the mill SoCal subdivision home.

  10. Taluca Lake is one of my fav communities, it's location is prime if you work in the biz. Surrounded by major studios and next to Gollywood without having to live in Gollywood or driving up the Hill. Its quiet, yet close.
For the area the price is pretty good.

    My phone called it "Gollywood".

  11. I go by this house every day walking my dog, and yes, it's an eyesore. Very Real Housewives, pseudo-Mediterranean. I feel like it's been on the market forever.

  12. i like the outside but hate the kitchen, bathrooms, built-ins, railings, fixtures, and too many bedrooms. I don't like having too many extra rooms then fools think they can stay over.

    1. It would fit right in, in Nashville (sorry Tenessee for stereotyping!). The stairs handrails and wood library are way country tacky. I also agree with the previous Real Housewife comment. I'm surprised there's no tennis court in tbe backyard...

  14. Well its not my taste, but none of these mcmansions are.

  15. They haven't even bothered to stage it and make it look somewhat attractive. And yeah, if you have a house on the market that long it's too expensive. She probably bought it in the height of the market and while the market has recovered in some places it hasn't in all in CA. Drop the price, take a hit rather than keep putting more $ into it.

  16. I was thinking the same thing, without staging it's just a boring empty house. White and beige. The kitchen, what were they thinking? Brown cabinets, brown marble, brown walls? Looks like an investment property and DEMI LAVOTO LIVED HERE may not be a sales flyer headline...

  17. If buy it in Michigan. It would go for about 350000

  18. Her taste in decor is as good as her taste in men, yuck!

    @Bella, HA! Too true!

  19. For those outside of CA, prices in LA county are very high. $2million for a subdivision is not unheard of. But in order to sell it she needs to 1) stage it and 2) drop it just under $2 million. I predict if she did both those things it would sell rather quickly.
