    1. My daughter loved that movie. I've probably seen it 100 times. When she was little and we'd see any kind of large grouping of metal electrical structures (not sure what the term is), she'd say "look iron giant food".

  6. True story of queen Elizabeth the 1st. Ruthlessly ambitious and don't need no man ;) and you know, all the little theories that follow. Secret lover, secret baby who wrote Shakespeare's plays.. Why isn't that a movie?

  7. When i was little, in the attic were all these unabridged books, and one was Hans Christian Anderson Stories. They were pretty grim actually- for example in cinderella, the stepsisters eyes were plucked out by birds as a punishment! Disney that up, lol. Anyhoo i like the story of The Little Tin Soldier. I guess they were toys or xmas decos, but the soldier only had one leg, due to his owners carelessness. He thought he wld never be good enough for he beautiful ballerina, who was also the object of a fancy soldiers affections. Somehow he manuovered the tim man doen the drain where he had several misadventures, only to return to his house to gind the ballerina did love him and threw herself into the fire in grief, and he made his way over to fire and threw himself in so they cld be together. Dont know why i liked/ like it, its pretty freaking sad, but i was fascinated with the idea of sacrifice for love. I probably was 9!!!!!!!!

    1. Ol, just checked and i git some stuff wring. Tin soldiers were gift yo bou on his birthsay, and this guy had one keg because he was the last and they ran out of tim. He noticed the paper ballerina, and to him it looked like she was also on one leg. It was the Jack jn the Box whi wasnt having it, and pushed one leg out the window. He was found by two boys whi put him in a per boat and sailed him into the sewer. He ended up in fish's belly, fish caught and cut open, theres your tin man in house he had left. The boy took him back, but then suddenly threw him in the fire, a gust of wind hit and blew ballerina into fire, and they burned up together. All was left of ballerina was her sash, and the soldier melted into a heart. Sigh.

  9. My favorite story of the fairy tale kind is about a little fairy named Poppy who was adopted by a human family. It was a story I found in a set of encyclopedias my parents bought us for school work more years ago than I care to admit. I loved that she made a dress out of a Hollyhock.
