Anderson Cooper Mistakes Appendicitis for Food Poisoning
Anderson Cooper was back on the air last night after having an emergency appendectomy. Cooper started experiencing stomach pains while he was covering the Ferguson protests in Missouri, and things took a turn for the worse when he was in France over Thanksgiving. Cooper had an appendectomy Sunday evening upon returning to the US, reports Page Six.
Holy cow, he went to paris with appendix ! Get well soon nice person!
ReplyDeleteHe's very lucky it didn't burst.
ReplyDeleteHis boyfriend is French, right? Was he in France with the in- laws?
ReplyDeleteAppendicitis sucks. I nearly died and was hospitalized five days when mine leaked. I was lucky it was a lazy appendix and didn't burst!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Billy Corgan sent him flowers.
ReplyDeleteDaughter just had hers out on Thanksgiving eve. Hospital kicked her out in under 24 hrs. Still on the mend
ReplyDeleteB6 26- hope daughter healing well. Cooper back on tv already!!!!! I agree about hospital throwing you out. Member the old days where they wldnt let u go unless u swore you werent going to anything but lie down all day? I do. So overr now tho.
ReplyDeleteI think the philosophy is not just a matter of processing you through like cars on on assembly line, I think there is a realization that patients need to move sooner than later after surgery so long as you are not jeopardizing any stitches, etc, if you just stay in bed more prone to clots etc. When my mother had her babies the hospital stay was one week - it was letting mom rest basically before the onslaught when she got home.
ReplyDeleteTina- i read that they discovered its better to get uo after surgery during WWII. Women who had babies then stayed in bed like a week begire they went home. But during the blitzkreig, they had to get up, grab their baby and run to air raid shelter. Drs noticed these women felt better and healed faster!
Deletenever knew that-that's interesting auntliddy
