  1. I am in with tonight 1st scripted series.. ggtd.. looks good. I mean they have been doing this for years on every rho.. they just haven't admitted it's "scripted" and at least they're hiring real actors now..

  3. OT, but Mashable has a great piece today about the latest computer effects used to 'live Photoshop' stars onscreen to make them look younger/stronger/more flawless etc.

Brad Pitt is mentioned, but there are also several blinds in the article. I think the 'actress in her 40s in major comedy' is Cameron Diaz in 'The Other Woman' and the woman who had her birthday video 'live-photoshopped' was Janet Jackson.

    2. +2, @Nutty. That was a really compelling article! And CD was the 1st person I also thought of for that comedy actress blind. It would be fascinating to see a follow-up expose on the specific actors/actresses who have had the most extensive digital retouching done, but I can't see that ever happening...at least in our lifetimes.

  4. Please all those housewife shows on Bravo are scripted somewhat. This is just the first show they admit is scripted.

    1. Seriously. Splitting a season like that is super annoying and plain off putting.

    2. Orange is the New Black probably comes back June-ish

    3. Yes to all the Mad Men complaints! Right now I can't remember for the life of me how it last left off either, and will have to watch it again. If I hadn't already invested years in the show, I wouldn't even bother. Unless the last few episodes are amazing, I wouldn't even bat an eyelash if they killed off Don Draper by giving him cirrosis of his scotch-soaked liver.

  7. hoc airs in feb per usual and
oitnb will probably return in april
that shitshow hemlock grove will most likely return in july/august for the 3 people who care
mad men i think returns in jan/feb to finish 2nd half of final run
@sugar,, yeah they take sooooo long in b/w seasons b/c of contract negotiations b/w weiner and amc etc.. you almost forget it even exists..
amc kind of killed it's own baby by playing hardball w/ weiner and keeping it off the air for so long..

@nutty.. cammie has had her peepers digitally enhanced for years as well as her face/ acne..

  8. thanks for reminding me about the Bravo show I love Lisa Edelstein. Certainly give it a shot as all that Xmas programming and reruns are starting to infiltrate already.

  9. In a promo for GGTD the other day , it had one of Lisa's characters kids running around with a big, flashing, lightsaber-type dido he accidentally found and thought was a toy. Her ex- husband walks in to see this, and says something like, "I thought we agreed not to introduce the kids to anyone we were seeing yet."

It honestly did make me lol, so I think I will give the show a chance.

  10. *dildo, not dido! I think dido was the one who sang those depressing, melancholy songs a few years ago. I guess my autocorrect doesn't believe in self-gratification.

  11. Can't wait for the Americans and Better Call Saul. Those will hold me over until Mad Men (totally agree it was stupid and annoying to split the final season in two), Game of Thrones, and True Detective return. Right now there's nothing I especially enjoy watching.
