Where Has Richard Simmons Gone?
TMZ is on the lookout for Richard Simmons. His friends haven't heard from or seen him since January 11th, and he has not been seen in his exercise studio in over six months. Simmons has not decorated his home for the holidays, and friends are denied entry by a housekeeper when they attempt to visit. Here's hoping he makes an appearance soon!

ReplyDeleteHe hasn't been seen in almost a year and friends are denied entry by a housekeeper??? How about politely shoving that person aside and CHECK ON HIM!!!!!! Wth???

DeleteHuge RS fan here who has been worried for months. He's still got his FB page, and supposedly, it's really him keeping it, but all of the photos are old, people keep asking why, and there are no answers. Still worried. :-(
ReplyDeleteI suspect there have been efforts to involve the police and they have found no reason to intervene. There's no way that TMZ was anyone's first step. Most likely, for whatever reason, Simmons has chosen to isolate himself. Depression is a bitch!
ReplyDeleteI heard he's depressed because the fall a few years ago left him unable to do what he loves which is exercising and inspiring people. If only he knew how much we love and care about him in any condition. I would love him to have one last on Letterman. His visits were some of the best. You couldn't not smile when seeing him.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is pretty scary. Never been a huge fan but he's always been such an upbeat guy you couldn't NOT like him a little. He's not COS is he?

I met him at the Detroit Airport once--we were in the Delta lounge. What you see is what you get. He is just like he appears on TV--and YES, he was in his red wife beater and striped shorts too. He was hilarious--even waited outside the plane to say goodbye to me (he was in 1st--and waited for the peasants like me to deplane)
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE that he was in his signature look when travelling! And love that he lives up to the bigger than life persona! He always seemed in on the joke vs. being the butt of the joke.
DeleteHe released a statement on 14 November that he is struggling with a knee injury and is battling his inner demons (depression). To give him time and he will be in public eye when he is ready again. I dont know why TMZ is pretending not to know this and make drama.
ReplyDeleteLots of people speculate that it wasn't actually him releasing the statement. It was a written statement, that was on his verified account, but lots of celebrities don't actually run their own accounts.
DeleteMy mom LOVED Richard Simmons & his sweating to the oldies videos back in the days! Love him on Letterman every time. Hope he is okay. I agree that someone (other than housekeeper) should be forcing a welfare check on him... Sending positive energy your way Richard!
