Seth Rogen Attends Interview Screening Without Incident

The Interview was released in theatres yesterday. Page Six reports that Seth Rogen and co-director Evan Goldberg surprised viewers at a midnight screening in Los Angeles. The pair thanked the viewers for showing up. Cinefamily, owners of the theatre where Rogen and Goldberg showed up, have stated that most of the showings they have booked are sold out.

  1. I suspect this movie stinks and under other circumstances wouldn't do that well. Good for the American people who show their obstinance and defiance by attending the film.

Hello anarchists. Hope your holiday was a great one.

  2. Agreed Karen!

I can only speak from the commentary about it (and the posters that I saw, in news items from my antipodean land, being taken down in LA), but it looks damned awful. Jaws 16 awful, if you catch my drift.

  3. To be honest, I'm not sure what's right at this point.

-Pay your money to a movie company to show your abhorrence of stand-over tactics.

-Avoid the whole damned thing because it's a vanity project from the start.

-Avoid the whole damned thing because it looks like an awful movie (without even beginning to consider vanity).

Who's to say which (or none) is right ... but Merry Christmas to all :D

  4. The only reason I have heard of the movie is because of the big dramatics going on. I have zero idea about its content though.
I know it's not practical but is it possible that this is a publicity tactic to up their numbers or did that just work in their favor on accident?

  5. Doubt its publicity stunt; fbi confirmed it was Korean based. Prob just an ok movie targeted for specific tastes. And wld cool it with the oooo, nothing happened, lest kim jong nutty decides to go all revenge of the nerds on us.

  6. My son says it was a disgruntled Sony employee. I don't get why they decided to show the film after making such a big deal about pulling it.

  7. I watched it in my living room as I wanted to do for weeks as before the threats the hackers had promised a Christmas

  8. A Christmas treat so I just planned on it being leaked or available on the net. Not much to say about the movie except it is just a douchier version of Franco being Franco.

  9. Hey Karen! Long time, no see Alita!

  10. The Conspiracy Theorist in me wants to ask, was all this hacking business just a ploy to put their otherwise ho-hum movie on the map? Possibly. Probably. Who knows.

  11. So I know I'm in the minority, but fuck it. I think Rogen and Franco are funny. And I think the rest of the pack are too. I thoroughly enjoy laughing my ass off to ridiculousness. But this whole debacle will probably make us wait until its 5 bucks in the walmart bin.
