  1. I just read
"After a month of leaks, embarrassment, and terrorist threats — not to mention an admonishment from President Obama himself — Sony has reversed course and will release The Interview on Christmas Day in a limited number of theaters."

  10. Searched all morning for a Frozen karaoke machine for my niece. Found one - for $89.85. Donated toys at work to child charities for Xmas morn. Been awake for 24 hours. Drink coffee - must-now. Get off my radio Taylor Swift! Did mailman deliver my Amazon orders yet? Aimee Mann's Christmas CD is really good. She's Enty's friend, right? Hi Aimee!

  11. I need to finish editing 2 newborn shoots today and maybe I can take until next Monday off! I might also get to take pictures of my own family before Christmas. That would be a real treat. Once I get done I have to wrap way too many presents I guiltily bought my kids. Next year I swear I'm not working so much! My 2 year old soon to be 3, keeps asking to go snowboarding. She's never gone or seen a snowboard as far as I can tell, so maybe I'll take her to a resort this weekend for her birthday. Blow her little mind. My son would be way more into the snow cats plowing than anything to do with boarding or skiing. Hope everyone has a fantastic holidays filled with booze if that's your thing, and presents if it's not.

  12. Last minute Christmas stuff and if I hear that stupid whistle song one more time, I am going to shoot my radio. WTH is this, a junior high talent show?!

BTW, transparent tape isn't really transparent.

  13. Probably stupid question here - is there another place besides Blogspot where Outtie could post? Perhaps the blind items could not be involuntarily be removed from his/her blog then.

2nd dumb question - to whoever has all the pickled eggs in their fridge - could you post your recipe? I haven't had pickled eggs since my mom died 27 years ago and would love to make them. Thanks!

    1. Are you referring to an Italian Greyhound by chance?

      Delete
    2. @audrey - Yup! Iggy or Iggie (Italian Greyhound). I've been searching for a rescue Iggy for ages and they're very hard to come by. Someone beat me to the girl I had seen listed at a shelter about an hour away. My Iggy Isabella that I had had for 10 years, passed away in 2011. I love my min pins but there's nothing like an Iggy in the house. You have one?

      Delete
    3. I also want a rescue iggie! They are very hard to find because unlike whippets and greyhounds, they are not used for racing so need rescuing less often.

    4. If you try to get one through the Iggy rescue, they charge $250-$300. To re-home them which I don't happen to have. The little girl I was trying to get was $50.00 and that covered her spay surgery, shots and micro chip. That's a really good deal. I rarely see Whippets either. They've got a ton of regular Greyhounds in South America because of the dog racing. They just kill them when they can't race anymore. It's horrible. They don't have dog racing in Texas (that I'm aware of).

    5. My daughter has an Iggy...he is the cutest pup ever, and is so sweet and affectionate. I adore him. He's still a curious pup and full of energy. She did a lot of research, and got him from a Greyhound rescue ranch somewhere in Washington State.

    6. I'm late on the game here, but there is dog racing in Texas. Houston has a greyhound race park - Gulf Greyhound Park. They have a link on their site for greyhound adoption.

  16. Got off of work early and went to this Body, Mind, and Soul shop to buy my daughter this rose quartz crystal charm she wanted and it was gone. Kicked myself in the head wondering why I didn't get it the day after we saw it. I got her another one and I hope she likes it. About to brave the CVS crowded parking lot to buy some last minute gift cards and headed to Spec's for some adult beverages to keep me company for the next few days. Then I can come home and keep marathoning Haven. I can't wait for mid-January for The Fall season 2!! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanzaa to everyone on and off the board. May your holidays be happy, healthy, merry, and safe with your friends and loved ones!

  18. All my baking is done, I even did all the dishes, and cleaned the kitchen. However the rest of the house looks like a major disaster area--so guess who has to scour the bathroom later.

  19. Cooking, cooking, baking, cooking, baking. All while being interrupted by a 4-year-old. Now watching Charlie Brown and drinking wine. While my sidekick slobbers all over me during our snuggle session. My husband is at his office Christmas party. I'm dying to go out on the town. My girlfriend asked me if I wanted to go out a few hours ago. I was game around 6. But she totally punked me and is now at her mom's cooking. Sigh. Note to self: Find new friends. I'll probably watch Girlfriends Guide to Divorce tonight. That's my jam.

  21. It's Christmas Eve. I had surgery on Dec 15, and have not even wrapped one gift. Not one. My son and I will be busy all day. LOL Right at this moment, I am in my (temporary) bed/recliner waiting for our son to get up so we can get started.

I am above all, a procrastinator, though. Why do things a little each day to get them done when you can wait till the last possible moment and give yourself a coronary?
