Reese Witherspoon Blames Crappy Career Choices on Divorce

Reese Witherspoon recently sat down with Charlie Rose to talk about her career and her upcoming starring turn in the movie Wild. Witherspoon won the Oscar, then divorced Phillippe shorty after amid rumors that he was cheating with Abbie Cornish. In the years immediately following the divorce, Witherspoon claims that her career floundered because she began making movies that she wasn't passionate about. Witherspoon has once again found her passion for film; she produced Gone Girl, and you can currently see her in both Wild and Inherent Vice.

      she did. found out about it during the premier. she was there, and i thought she was in the movie. turned out she was one of the producers.

    I watched it the other night, she seems like a calculating bitch. Reese kept talking about being named after her grandmother (who passed when Reese's mom was about 20) and saying Wild was her Mom's story. I'm sure her Mom's story might have been similar but it was Cheryl Strayed's story and Reese didn't even mention her once.

    Omar, I had to change the channel when she started crying. She said something like "I would just hold my Mamma but i didnt know why she was so (insert tears) sad" it was just too much. She's a subtle as a sledgehammer.

      @katydid, YESSSSSS! It was so bad, I think my dog gave her the side eye. I couldn't believe she didn't mention Cheryl at all and just made it about her and her mom.

      @Kat, I haven't seen Wild yet but I enjoyed the book. Hopefully I wont feel like slapping Reese throughout the movie when I finally get to watch it.

      Don't forget that the interview you see on TV has been edited and you know sometimes TV producers have their own agendas in these situations. That said I do think she is a bit fake.

    Wasn't there a blind about some actress that everybody thought was really nice and sweet, but in reality she was a huge racist bitch and everybody guessed it was her? Was it ever revealed?

    I believe Reese. Didn't she also have something to do with Legally Blonde. As much as I am sure she's a bitch she is producing film from female authors. As an actor she had to own the story as hers no matter the source material. She's smart and fierce and could very well become one of the power players in H'wd. I don't think I'd like her but I certainly do respect her.

      Not the original..she produced the second one. Election hadn't been released when she shot the first LB, and really was not well known.

    I wonder if she let's her kids socialize around Ryans baby with Alexis Knapp? ?
    She burned down her apartment a few months back similar to how Ashley Greene burned hers down when Ryan was with her too. A meth pipe at the scene is still being debated ..
    Alexis is the one that Seth McFarlane only wanted to fuck when she was pregnant because of his baby in the oven sex fetish..
    I remember her showing up at the premier for one if his movies Ted I think blabbing about their romance and Seth couldn't have back peddled fast enough because she let it be known they were fucking when she was heavily pregnant. . I'm not sure how many other Hollywood guys she's latched onto but I don't see her hanging out at Mrs American Citizen Reese Witherspoon family picnics..
    I wonder too If Ryan ever sees his kid or just sends a check because he is always sending loving tweets about his 2 kids with Reese but has never tweeted anything about the girl with Alexis. Not even happy birthday. Pretty shittyyy thing to do but this is Ryan Phillipe we're talking about here..
    good Ole American Citizen Reese and her all American family values on the campaign trail. . Yeah.. popcorn and snacks for all..
    now would be a good time for Alexis to start giving interviews about how much time she sees Ryan just in time to promote Pitch Perfect 2. I wonder if Reese gives her extra money to shut up during campaign season

    I watched that interview and was disgusted. The tears she shed for her long-dead granny were crocodile ones.

    Her biggest flaw is her utter boringness, though. Ditto Hathaway.
