TLC Has Fully Funded Their Kickstarter

Earlier this week, you learned that TLC had turned to Kickstarter to fund their new album. Well, ask and ye shall receive! T-Boz and Chilli have already exceeded their goal of $150K; the current tally is $173K and counting according to Us Weekly. Katy Perry even kicked in $5K to the effort, which wins her a slumber party with T-Boz.

  1. They should have Lil' Mama on the album. She was really good in the TLC movie!

  3. Well good for them! I guess we are going to see more and more artists raising money this way if the record company won't do it for them. I will pay something towards I band I really care about.

  5. I love indie music (alternative is what it's often called) and I'd contribute to a band I really enjoyed. The music industry is totally corrupt, it makes the movie industry look like the Make A Wish foundation.

I don't listen to TLC but I have to say those "push it" commercials crack me up! The dude pushing the lawnmower at the end, "I'm pushing! I'm pushing!" The lamaze class! Push it real good!

    3. OMG. That Push It commercial is awesome. And I love that Nelly and TLC are touring with NKOTB this summer. Not that I'm planning to go, but it's just great.

  6. I much prefer indie (alt) music as well. Nothing better than picking up a college radio station as you're driving..Best music ever!

    1. I worked for Top 40 station all through my 20's and have a soft spot for TLC, but as others have pointed out, there's no TLC without the L (Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes). I miss that crazy girl.

  7. This is the second article about this and both times I've been initially confused thinking TLC the channel? Why would they put out an album? I don't even watch that channel and I like TLC the group so I have no idea what my deal is.
