  1. In Touch probably thinks this is backup for their nasty article. They should actually watch it.

    1. If you know someone who has Amazon Prime, they're allowed to share it with up to four other (related) households. I share it with my sister, my SO, and an aunt, they have zero problems with the service.

  4. By the way does anyone know anything about how roku works.. I live off a monthly stipend and I get my check next week and was looking into getting roku 3. I am going to give back my dvr and modem to cable company because renting through them is costing me $360 /year. So bye bye to that. And getting rid of all but top 50 channels. Everything else I can watch online

How do I use my own dvr???
I have seen some for sale but can I hook them up myself. . If I buy tivo I have to buy tivo service right? ?
I am going to I guess best buy or target to buy a decent modem and return the rest to cable company. . Can you get daily shows of roku like young and the restless and Wendy Williams and the entertainment shows like extra and ET and assess Hollywood. .

Please help if you can I am tv information challenged...

    Thanks guys in advance

    1. Try freetvonline.com. I've watched homeland and breaking bad and 24 online for free. You have to play around to see who uploads with fast streaming. Good Luck

    2. I have a roku and i have enjoyed it. It was easy to "install," pretty much just plug it in. I'm not sure how many components you can have on your television, so I can't comment on your DVR. I don't have one. You don't have to pay anything to use the roku, it is just an interface for whatever else you want to watch, like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, M-Go, YouTube, etc.

My other two tv's are smart tvs, so all I need is wireless internet. I pay $8/mo for Netflix and about the same for Hulu Plus and that's it. Don't miss cable at all.

    3. I have a friend who loves her Roku but you still have to pay for a Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc type of service. I have Netflix and when I wanted to watch Downton Abbey, I signed up for the 30 day free trial of Amazon and watched it (marathon-style) and finished watching Transparent last night. Loved it!!! If you want one central unit to watch all those types of services and don't have a smart TV, then I would go with the basic Roku. OR you can watch all free stuff on Couchtuner...love that site!

    5. My roku player burned up after a year of use & they wouldn't replace it. So get an extended warranty or a Google chromecast. Plus you can cast anything from the Internet to your tv. Sounds like you'll like hulu+.

  5. I know this won awards and all. I know that we all agree that we should never single out any group for discrimination, hate and bullying. I know we're have a transgender affirmation moment right now.

But I can't. Jeffrey Tambor looks like Candace from PORTLANDIA - a show I adore. Everytime I see his beautiful mug I expect to hear Fred Armisen's nasally smart aleck
    retorts.

I'm sure it's great viewing. But it's not for Guido.
