Ashley Hamilton Impersonates Cop, Gets Arrested

Actor Ashley Hamilton, son of George Hamilton, was arrested this week for impersonating an officer. TMZ reports that Hamilton took a friend to a Los Angeles LGBT Center to get emergency care, and when the friend wasn't bumped to the front of the line, Hamilton flashed a faked badge and claimed to be a cop. The friend was treated immediately, but upon discovering that Hamilton had lied about his police status, staffers called the LAPD, who arrested Hamilton for impersonating an officer. Hamilton was previously marred to Shannen Doherty and Angie Everhart.

    Seriously though, it's sad that one would even feel the need to "impersonate an officer in order to get special treatment for his friend" - who was the victim of a violent attack (TMZ). I have a friend who was drugged and raped out of state, and had a breakdown when she discovered months later that it was taped and posted on a porn site. She lives in LA and we called literally everywhere we could and no one would see her. Before giving up, I called a detective that I know, who was able to call in a favor and plead for someone in OC to see her. Our social services are a fucking joke here. I hope his friend got the necessary help.

      @surfer- I truly still cannot believe it myself. All of the centers in LA gave us different excuses. Some lacked the services she needed, some were just overbooked, others would see her way later down the line (but she needed help immediately), and others cited jurisdictional bullshit (the rape happened out of state).
      Centers in OC were more friendly and willing to see her...until we had to admit that she was now a resident of LA county, which they then turned her away. That's when we just said fuck this. I am lucky enough to know a well connected guy in law enforcement who begged someone in OC to see her despite her LA residency. It was insane.

      @LadyH - being Canadian, I don't understand this jurisdictional nonsense. I mean, shouldn't the only thing that matter (sortof, kindof) be that she's a California resident?

    Thanks guys! She is doing better thankfully, but I was just sickened by the fact that this poor girl had to call multiple strangers and share her horrific story, only to be turned away. LA county was not helpful to her.

    As a ER nurse (triage) I find your story LadyH to be quite strange. Not sure that there are any Exclusively LGBT medical centers. I may very well be wrong, but as a foreigner (now a citizen) there has never been a problem when emergency help is needed. I had no insurance when I first arrived & my small daughter stuck a Barbie up her nose. No issues at all.

      lady h was drugged and raped and MONTHS later after realizing what happened tried to get help thru ca social services but b/c of red tape no one would help her and her help is decided upon residency in ca jurisdiction
