What's going on in your world today?

  1. Just catching up with my cousin's wife, my JuJuBee and a few folks on Facebook. I say my JuJuBee but I haven't seen her in 20 years, still, she's like a little sister to me so she's still MY JuJuBee (my nickname for her). My friends are doing an interview with "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels from TNA and Ring of Honor this weekend, so thinking up good questions for him. If any of you guys are wrestling fans and have any questions let me know and I'll pass them on and give you all a link for the interview Sunday.

    1. How is his comic book career? Is he planning more? What is it like to wrestle in Japan?
Those are 2 that I can think of off the top of my head.

  2. Apparently, not much is going on today, hmmm?

@sugartits- I remembered how you were geeking out about that study on social media posting and relationship insecurity. HERE is some other interesting research out of Emory on how marital outcomes are influenced by wedding and ring expenditures!

    2. That's the thing Aunt Liddy, they really are good. They have no reason to cheat. I think because it's the Patriots who everyone loves to hate, it's going to be a bigger deal than what it really is. Even Aaron Rodgers who has no need to defend them admitted that he uses an over inflated ball, and that all teams doctor footballs to their quarterbacks liking. In the court of public opinion they already lost and if they win their 4th Super Bowl it will be another tarnished ring on their fingers. Which is unfortunate because they are such a good team, and he is a good coach whether people like him or not. And let's be honest, there is a huge difference between cheating and doing something against the rules to give your team the edge. If their is a coach out there who doesn't try to work any advantage for his team to win, then maybe they shouldn't coach! I wouldn't put it past him to weigh his odds though and go with under inflated footballs so his linemen could catch them easier at the risk of losing a draft pick, since he lost the bills game to get an advantage in the draft. He is a big risk taker, sometimes it pays off, sometimes he gets caught.

    3. What I don't understand is that, if underinflated balls are easier to catch, wouldn't this have benefited BOTH teams? And if everyone is doing some version of this, what's the problem? I didn't even know ball inflation was a thing, much less this much of a thing.

If it was done deliberately against the rules, then it's not right, but if everyone is doing some variation on it?...really, it just feels like sour grapes to me.

  13. At the office I was secretly reading the Aniston posts on Celebitchy - those folks are a special kind of different. I am sorry so many of you are going through a difficult period, with family, health, jobs or relationships. Just make yourself a stiff drink put on a favorite song and dance your troubles away. Tomorrow is another day.
