What's going on in your world today?

  1. I need to enroll the pup in obedience classes. He's the tiny terror barking at all the other dogs at the dog park and I'm sick of it.

    I'm dreading a weekend without football. :(

  2. My sister went to live filming of the NTA awards(crappy UK tv awards, not sure of the US equivalent),and swears Simon Cowell is not only taller than a hobbit but quite handsome in real life.Should I be concerned for her eyesight or her taste in men?

    1. @ticklemyfancy She's right on both counts! Saw him at an Il Divo concert a few years back. Everyone was waiting for the concert to start, but nothing was happening. Then I see Terri Seymour walk in unaccompanied, followed by five bodyguards, and then Simon Cowell. Who doesn't walk out with their girlfriend, and sends her out before the security detail?!

  3. Apparently my husband is coming home today. My kiddos will be pumped to see their dad. I was up all night with a puking little boy, and I'm a little jealous I don't get to be a weekend parent and miss all the 24 hour shifts with no break. Must be nice ;) Oh, can you tell I'm a little grumpy? Lol

    2. Thanks sugar! I actually have my sister who I force to by my assistant/nanny who will come and entertain the kids for me. But I also need her to be safe too. Kind of terrifying myself over the whole thing. The amusement park at circus circus seems more their age range then New York New York. I just worry weather it's too trashy :| they are only 3 and 4. So still very young. Yep giving myself panic attacks again.

  5. I found out last night that my cousin is transgender. She starts back at school this week and is going as a girl for the first time. I had no idea and it was a massive shock but I'm really proud of my family for supporting her and can't wait to meet her.

    1. Ah, Jessie, best wishes to your cousin. I wish that all families could be so loving and accepting.

    3. All things good to your cousin! We have transgender child in our family, and we are as supportive as we can be, because god knows what they encounter in their everyday life! Why is it the stupidest and meanest people talk the loudest?

    4. @Jessie Your cousin sounds like she has a lot of family support. That's so important. I wish nothing but happiness for her.

  9. Drove to and from Orlando twice. First time because my fiancé's truck broke down and the second because he forgot his work truck keys on the seat of the broken down car.

  11. Counting down to "Going Clear" documentary being shown at Sundance on Sunday. Can't wait to see how the celebrity Co$ will react. Praying that Miscavige doesn't take his rage out on his staff, but we all know better.

Looking forward to next week, so I can take a breather from everything Co$-related. I haven't slept well in days & there's such a darkness around me. I can't shake it off this time. Mr. Bluezz is not happy.

I think I'm going to watch old movies this weekend to escape my thoughts. Maybe go for a drive & explore the countryside.

I'm sorry I've been so cranky recently at AG. I'll try to be my old snarky self next week. I'm just glad this awesome site exists. :-)

    Outtie, you totally rok! <3

    2. I'm anxious to see what the Sundance critics think. I think it premiers on HBO in March. I love that Co$ brought more attention to the movie by taking out an ad claiming the film is lies.

  12. Found out today one of my staff has a year to live. She went in for gallbladder surgery, the surgeon discovered from an ultrasound she had a cancerous tumor on her kidney. They removed her kidney, told her they got it all. Further tests reveled cancer had spread to her liver - so today they told this lovely dear woman she has a year, her oldest grandchild is only three. Fuck, fuck cancer.

    1. My friend was given 6 months to live after cancer metastasized to her liver. She lived an additional good-quality five years because she went on frequent, low-dose chemo.

    2. I'm sorry to hear that. I hate to be a downer but my Mom was told her liver was getting bad but there was plenty of time to get everything going right again and less than a month later, I never saw her again because the doctor didn't read the tests right.
I doubt your staff member has a doctor that bad, so maybe something will change in the next year that gives her a longer, better quality of life. I'm sending my thoughts and love to her, her family and your entire operation in hopes it can play a small role in helping out in some way.
If she needs someone to be a "secret Santa" type thing for her grandchild to help her get through this, I would be more than happy and honored to do this for her. Maybe getting a gift every now and then in the mail from some unknown "guardian not going to say angel because I'm as far from it as can be" can help her grandkid deal with the changes this will bring to their life. (I did the same thing with my nieces when my Mom passed. Even their Mom has no idea it was me sending them their gifts but they helped the girls.)

  15. Day late but that's OK. We found out that my Dad has to have a pacemaker put in (If his name was Gerry instead of David it would be a perfect setup) and is having the surgery Wednesday. The doctor doing it said he'll be home Thursday and there's nothing to worry about since he's done over 6000 of them in the past 15 years.

My youngest niece got the cutest haircut and has had me send a pic of it to "your friends on TV, Uncle Chris!" (She means the wrestlers from WWE and TNA I'm friends with lol) and she was tickled because Nattie Neidhardt, who has been her favorite since she started watching it with me and Total Divas at home, loved the picture. It seriously made her day. Her Mom said she took her Nattie figure to school to show people who has a picture of her lol (Don't you wish you could be 6 again for a while and just enjoy everything with fresh eyes again?)

If there's another readers choice on Sat. I'll just copy this cause the story of my niece is just too cute lol
