Gigi Hadid New Face of Maybelline

The campaigns keep coming! Gigi Hadid has been announced as the newest spokesperson for Maybelline New York, reports Us Weekly. In a press release, Hadid states: "Being a Maybelline New York spokesperson means more to me than anyone can imagine; it doesn't seem real! It's the most incredible feeling and is a dream come true. 2. Was she the one who was going to be a Guess girl?

Ugh, please stop making these reality people famous for being the offspring of reality people.

    1. @Seven, the story the other day was that she's been modeling for Guess for years. She's been signed to them since she was a baby. I don't think her parents were on any reality shows that long ago though.

  3. Imagine how models without famous parents feel after losing gigs to Hadids and Jenners and Kardashians.
I'd be really angry and depressed.

    1. Snarky - this happens in every profession from super models to plumbers in the plumbers union.

    2. I hate nepotism, too, but at least Gigi is pretty. I could see her being a successful model even without connections. The Jenner girls, however, are as plain as a mud fence and would have zero chance of being successful models without their last name.

    1. LOL!
Although I admit I still buy some Cover Girl, the other drugstore beauty giant. Clump Crusher mascara - I use it to comb out my YSL Faux Cils.

    2. I really dig the Kajal eyeliner! Also Lancome, Loreal, and Maybelline are all owned by the same company. Some of the formulations for Lancome you can find far cheaper under the maybelline or loreal brands (hint, hint Lancome Mascaras).

    3. @Lucille, thanks, didn't know Maybelline was owned by the same company as Lancome and Loreal. Huh. Loreal mascara is my go-to and I knew it was the same as the Lancome mascara. :)

  6. @Meanie, don't be hating on Maybelline! ') Honest, they have totally revamped their line, and have some fantastic gems. Seriously hon, their lipsticks are to die for! And so are the color tattoos! The new Fit Me matte poreless foundation is getting tons of buzz.

  7. I disagree her parents are barely famous. She's lovely I think she's a good model and fits the brand.
