    1. Shelly, I'm sitting down to watch that in a few minutes. They seem to finally be getting interesting, hope that continues tonight

    1. After reading this I am watching too! Of course after my shower and all my muscles are pulled I had to take meds and lay down so why not watch another pain sufferer.

    2. So what did you think of cake? I was a bit underwhelmed as it did not have a well rounded story or ending. But she was good in it and played a chronic pain sufferer well.

    1. Sorry, Auntliddy! Flu sucks. Been going around pretty bad in my corner of the world, too. I called in sick today. Keeping everything crossed it's just a stomach bug, bc my baby has it, too. Get well.

    2. AuntLicky my heart goes out to you lady on both counts. Sweaty McSweaterson is every night of my life. Damn you lady hormones!

    3. Auntliddy if you've got a tea kettle, put it on simmer and throw some eucalyptus leaves or Rosemary in it. That should help your breathing a bit. We keep the kettle on all through the cold months to help keep some moisture in the air. Either that or good old Vicks Vapor Rub. Hope you recover soon!

  5. Aw, auntliddy, take it easy. Don't think about the finances right now, your brain is fuzzy and you'll have some brilliant idea that you'll promptly forget because cold medicine is devil's work (tastes like it, too!).

I got a Kindle Fire from a friend who won it at a company Christmas party and didn't want it. This brings my tablet ownership up yet again, which is fine, but also makes me enraged that the iPad has its own special cord. It's like taking your curling iron to another country and finding out the outlets are different and then you have to go to a shop and hope they have a cord or charger that fits your device.

  6. @Auntliddy get better soon, I know it's a horrible flu - today was the first day I felt nearly human. The past two weeks are a blur of a over the counter drug haze

  7. Waiting for my train home after our quarterly biz meeting.
One salesman/asshole was bringing up how deficient our group was never failing to bring up where we fell short and even pointed out me. No thank you for the 3 deals I brung him. I was livid. BItched afterwards to the director of our group sorta forgetting HE was the one that got him hired but at that point I had zero fucks to give.

If he's friends with him then he can tell him how I feel. I can guarantee-damn-tee he does not want me to say it. It was the first time in years the old spit fire, angry Irish old me came out and I was ready to rip him a new one. Grrrrr.
Thank God it's all over now and I can go back to sending qualified leads to more professional reps in the company. Dude, you will NEVER get a billion dollar company from me ever again, fucker!

  8. MinPin, you are the third person in two days to tell me about a flat tire being made worse by the spare being under the car. Until two days ago I'd never heard of such an arrangement! When I had my flat I was embarrassed to be unloading a pile of miscellaneous crap from my trunk onto the side of the road, but at least my spare was somewhere I could get it! It's even more ridiculous than the newer cars that require the removal of the whole front bumper to put in a headlight, because putting on a spare tire is something everyone should be able to do, and be able to do in any weather or time of day.
