hey! You are lucky!---I wanted to go to that show---that was their last tour before they broke up I believe. I have seen them several times though---my fav band live...I hope they get back together....
iTunes probably doesn't count as a music collection but I think I'd say U2 if it did. I tend to collect authors, so I'm not really reliable when it comes to music.
Madonna. I have her entire catalogue including rare, unreleased tracks, studio demos, tour demos, an original vinyl "test pressing" of Deeper & Deeper, the music from her pre-fame days in the band Emmy. There isn't anything of hers (musically) that I don't have.
@Wahoowifey - yes that was me :) And I'm still listening to them. It sucks for her that all those demos leaked but OMG what a glorious gift for the fans! hahaha I'm already saving my money for the next tour. Every time she hits the road, I see as many shows as I can. I was front row, center for opening night of the Confessions Tour in L.A. and also for both nights in San Jose for the MDNA Tour. I can't even count how many times I've seen her live. All I know is it's in the double-digits ;)
Yeah you gave me a link...didn't work out but I did wind up finding it later. It's good..but fave is still album CODF. Funny I saw the Drowned World Tour in LA (was living there at the time). What an awesome show, just days after 9/11. Were you at that one? in LA? I was going to say too that I have ALL Depeche Mode (saw u like them too) and Duran Duran.
Cross Canadian Ragweed and I have everything that I've been able to find so far of this Australian country singer, Sherrie Austin. Her early stuff is impossible to find though I used to have illegally downloaded mp3s of what I think was everything. Lost it all when that computer died, though. :(
Take the last two away and I have the exact collections lol I even have a sealed copy of KISS' self titled debut without "Kissin' Time" on it and a copy of "KISS The Originals" and the foreign exclusives. I'm such a geek about KISS. Best concert I ever went to was May 2000 in Little Rock, AR with Ted Nugent and Skid Row opening for KISS during the "Farewell Tour". It's the concert you see the clip of Gene getting hit in the head by Ace's guitar during Rock and Roll All Nite and being busted open. Even have some confetti covered in his actual blood that night lol
Yep, I was second row, directly in front of Gene (who is always audience left) and when he wiped it away, it flew directly to me, coated in white and black face paint and blood from his forehead. (What had happened was during the encore, Ace was swinging his guitar and Gene just walked right into it lol You can find the video on Youtube)
Queen as well - I finally got to see the love of my life Brian May live this summer on their your - such an amazing experience I never thought I would ever get
Also coheed and Cambria. Awesome band and always a joy to see live
GNR, KISS, Van Halen, Skid Row, Poison, Warrant, Alice Cooper, Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, The Beatles, Bon Jovi, WWF Themes,Michael Jackson, Prince and (without irony or regret) The Bangles. There is not a prettier song ever recorded than "Eternal Flame" IMO.
I doubt anyone will know who I'm talking about...but any group/collab Dallas Green (Canadian Artist) has been apart of...so..Alexisonfire, City and Colour, Never Ending White Iights etc
Bruce Springsteen, The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Sly and The Family Stone, and I've worn out two copies of Joni Mitchell's Blue and Sarah McLaughlin's Mirror Ball - I have a loaded ipod and a extensive album collection - I grew up in a small town and I was a minority so I didn't have friends so it was music and books. When Springsteen released "Born To Run" it was the answer to a prayer
I sold all my cds recently and now just use Spotify mostly. I listen to just about anything, but mostly rock and quiet storm. I do have some music I downloaded but I only listen to it when my internet connection is too slow.
David Bowie, KISS, The Runaways, The Stooges, Tommy Bolin, Marc Bolin/T-Rex Alice Cooper, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Van Halen. A shitload of the Rolling Stones including some nice colored vinyl, The Plasmatics, Girlschool, Blondie and Patti Smith. That's all vinyl too.
