Eminem Grants Dying Wish

17-year-old terminal cancer patient Gage Garmo had one final wish: to meet Eminem. TMZ reports that the rapper heard about the request and obliged, meeting with Garmo at his home on Sunday for about an hour. Garmo's family reported that the visit really lifted Garmo's spirit, continuing to cheer him up even after the rapper left. Sadly, Garmo passed away the next day.

  1. Sad to hear someone so young lost the battle. And it is kinda nice to know that Eminem has a heart underneath all that swagger.

  2. Good for E, and sympathy to family.

  3. Also, it's worth adding that Eminem wanted to do this totally under the radar, with no media involved.

  4. How kind and giving of Eminem. And so very sad that Garmo died so young. Talk about meeting him just in the nick of time.

  5. I read that Eminem tried to keep this quiet. I wonder what other good deeds he does but keeps on the QT so as not to ruin his bad boy rep?

  7. I'm not an Em fan but that was a nice thing to do.

Cancer, how many times do we have to tell you to go back to hell where you belong?

  8. He seems to me like he does a ton of nice deeds on the dl. It's just the impressions I get. He has a soft spot for kids, for sure.

  9. Between this and Eminem's cameo in The Interview, I can't help but like the guy a little bit...
