TV Show Roundup 7/28/16

Cancellations:
After last year's shit show where Matt Damon tried to school a female African American writer on diversity (and failed), HBO has cancelled Project Greenlight, reports TV Line.

Casting News:
The Hollywood Reporter announces that Showtime's Homeland has picked its president for the upcoming sixth season, and it's a woman! House of Cards alum Elizabeth Marvel will play the president-elect when the show returns in early 2017.

TV Line reports that True Blood's Nelsan Ellis is joining the cast of CBS's Elementary in the Fall for a few episodes, where he will play the role of Shinwell Johnson.

Renewals:
Who know that Billy Ray Cyrus had a sitcom called Still the King on CMT? Apparently it doesn't completely suck, because The Hollywood Reporter announces that the show has been picked up for a second season.
