Monsters React To Michael Jackson "Thriller" - SONG RANTS!

Politically Incorrect 10/31/17

What's going on in Washington DC today?

Blind Gossip Blind Item - To Rehab Or Not To Rehab

There’s an interesting battle going on behind the scenes!

When a celebrity gets into trouble lately, sending them to rehab seems to be a default action to get them out of the spotlight and to make them look sincere in their contrition and their desire to change.

Unfortunately, it often has little to do with the actual problem.

Harvey Weinstein is a criminal who assaulted dozens of women. Does anyone really believe that a couple of weeks in rehab will fix him right up and excuse his disgusting behavior? Sex addiction. Yeah… that’s it! That’s the problem! Let’s send him to rehab!

This film actor’s PR team is failing him miserably. Stupid statements to excuse his bad behavior, conflating one issue with another, making the accusations about him rather than his victims.

What a disaster. So now they are trying to convince him to go to rehab for alcohol. Alcohol. Yeah… that’s it! That’s the problem! Let’s send him to rehab!

The only thing is… our actor doesn’t want to go!

Because then he would have to stop drinking!

And our actor LOVES to go out drinking!

In honor of this almost Shakespearean battle, we have written a play. Here is the opening scene, which takes place in a publicist’s office in 1599 A.D. :

REHAB

A PLAY BY BG

ACT 1, SCENE 1

To rehab or not to rehab? That is the question.

Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer

The slings and arrows of outrageous molestation accusations,

Or to take in four weeks of rehab against a sea of bad publicity.

We will be happy to perform our play in its entirety on stage at the Old Vic.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - The Table Slapper

This actor is a consummate professional. However, he is also used to getting what he wants. So when he got rejected twice in the past few months, he did not handle it well!

"They were trying to line up a new girlfriend to help out with the marketing. Both of the girls (via their agents) supposedly balked with flimsy excuses. He was mad. He was slapping the table and saying, “God damn it! (slap, slap) Didn’t you explain what kind of opportunity this would be? I don’t have time to deal (slap) with this! Take care of it!” I didn’t hear the rest of it."

We’re guessing that “Take care of it!” meant to find him another girl.

Perhaps being the girlfriend of a big movie star just isn’t as appealing as it used to be? Or perhaps actresses saw what being with him did to his last wife and aren’t so eager to jump on the bandwagon of his weird life choices…

Nicole Kidman is Glamour's Woman of the Year

Nicole Kidman is the 2017 Glamour Woman of the Year. Here are some highlights from her accompanying interview:

Rebecca Miller: Oh, Nicole. So tell me: In the very beginning, was there a moment you realized you were able to communicate so fluently with your emotions?

Nicole Kidman: No. That’s a lifelong journey. [Laughs.] My mother said I was always an intense child, a very sensitive child. So that probably helped the emotions to be very present. I was just a big thinker. I would evaluate and analyze and feel and cry and discuss and be angry. All of those emotions were very surface for me.

Rebecca: What, then, first drew you to acting?

Nicole: I would read. And I would morph into the characters and their emotions. And then I started going to a local drama school when I was, like, 10 or 11. And even at that age, things would just flow. When my toe would enter the water with something like Nora in A Doll’s House, somehow—without really understanding what I was doing—I would grasp the character’s inner conflict. It was very pure. I still have that deep passion and love for what I do. And when I don’t, I won’t do it anymore.

Rebecca: I’ve been thinking about how different all your roles are. Like, Virginia Woolf in The Hours and Celeste Wright from Big Little Lies are two completely different souls.

Nicole: Well, one’s fighting to just exist in the world, for her artistic expression to stay the way she wants it without medication or confinement. And then Celeste is in this situation of being deeply attracted [to her abusive husband] but also knowing she has to get out. In some ways, they were both fighting being trapped.

Rebecca: Can you tell me how your pledge to work with a female director every 18 months came about?

Nicole: As an actor you’re only as good as the things you’re offered. And there just weren’t any women offering me things. So when you dissect that, you realize there aren’t women offering you things because they don’t have the opportunities. I work to raise money for women’s cancers; I use my voice for violence against women. And so I was like, “I need to be part of the movement that will, hopefully, change the statistics in my field.”

David Foster Ponders Marriage Again

People reports that after word got out that David Foster and Katharine McPhee are dating, but not exclusively, the magazine asked him about his thoughts on marriage. Here's what he had to say:

“It’s quite obvious by my track record that I love being married, so I wouldn’t say no to being married again. I like the concept, I’m just not that good at it.”

And on touring in 2018:
“I wouldn’t mind traveling and not working. The only time I’ve ever traveled is for work. I want to go to the Antarctic. I just have this pull to get there. And I’ve never been to South America, which is kind of weird, but I’d like to go there to just hang out. I’ve toured extensively in Asia and I figured, why not stay at home? The thing about Asia that’s so great is the people seem to really care there about who wrote the songs. They don’t necessarily want the stars standing in front of them. They just want to hear the songs. And we’re thinking America is ready for that kind of thing too.”

Hot Felon's Ex Files for Full Custody

Page Six reports that estranged wife of "hot felon" Jeremy Meeks, Melissa Meeks, has filed for sole custody of the couple's 7-year-old son. Melissa accuses Jeremy of spending only 2 days per month with their son. In fairness, it is a full time job jet-setting with billionaire heiress Chloe Green. Speaking of billions, Melissa wants some of that dough to start flowing her was, as she is filing for both spousal and child support.

Stranger Things Actor Is Just Full of Surprises

Stranger Things actor Charlie Heaton was denied entry to the US last week after police canines found coke in his luggage. Page Six reports that when he got back to the UK, Heaton released the following statement:

“My planned travel to the U.S. last week was affected by an issue at U.S. immigration, and I am working to rectify it as soon as possible. I do want to clarify that I was not arrested or charged with a crime, and cooperated fully with the U.S. officials at LAX.  I’m sorry to all the fans and my ‘Stranger Things’ family for missing the premiere. We are all so proud of this season and I would never want this story to negatively impact the show.”

In other Heaton news, Page Six reports that Heaton is a father - he has a 3-year-old son with ex-girlfriend Akiko Matsuura. The former couple met when they were part of the band Comanechi (Heaton was the drummer). A source says of the news, “Charlie became a dad when he was just 20. He met Akiko when he was just a teen and fell head over heels in love. They’re no longer together but they have an amicable relationship for the boy’s sake. Right now Charlie’s career is his priority but he hopes to see more of his son once filming commitments calm down.”

Selena Gomez is Back on the Market

Page Six reports that Selena Gomez, 25, and The Weeknd, 27, have broken up after 10 months of dating. A source says of the split, “Everyone wants love, but his focus is the business. He’s building a legacy. He’s young and successful with money and can have any girl he wants. Their relationship kind of came out of nowhere...He’s a supreme player. He hits the scene hard. [Selena’s] more subtle with it.”

Gomez has recently been spotted hanging out with her ex Justin Bieber.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Jumping Off the Gravy Train

When regular people get their own TV show and a huge boost in income and popularity, they usually ride the gravy train for as long as possible.

So when they decide to end their highly-rated show suddenly and with a weak explanation, your instincts should tell you that there’s something wrong.

"[He] did something really stupid and it was going to come out in the press. He’d rather leave voluntarily than get publicly humiliated and risk losing everything. [His wife] wanted to keep doing the show, but she doesn’t have much choice except to go along and pretend leaving is her decision too. She is pissed, though."

You can’t fix stupid. Not quite Weinstein level bad, but bad nonetheless.

Beauty Tips from Debra Messing

Will & Grace star Debra Messing recently sat down for an interview with Good Housekeeping. Here's what she had to say:

On doing CoolSculpting:
"Whether or not someone else wants to judge me because I want to go into a dermatologist's office for an hour and have fat frozen off of my body and three months later I can feel a little bit better in a bathing suit — I don't care. I don't care about that judgment. I gave birth. I had a little pouch on my stomach that wouldn't go away. We have hormones. Things happen. Things move. And I'm lazy! I don't wanna do sit-ups for four hours a day. I'm a single mom and I work full-time."

On why she's revealing that she has had some help:

"It's incredibly important to be open about doing things to improve how you feel about yourself. The myth that there are people walking around Hollywood who were born perfect and age perfectly is very dangerous, especially for young girls. I'm not embarrassed at all."

On her trademark red hair:
"I went off to do the first movie I'd ever done, A Walk in the Clouds. But they didn't want to pay for [my hair to be dyed blonde]. So instead of sending me to a fancy salon to have it done, they had the male director's colorist take me into a Motel 7 and stick my head in the bathtub, and she just put bleach on it. The top half of my head was one color and the back half was another. And then she proceeded to alternate and dye different sections — it was bleached 13 times. Then she just put on this crazy neon Titian red and said, 'That's all I can do.' I had been auditioning for a year as a brunette and all of a sudden, when I turned red, I started getting jobs. And that's when I said, 'I'm gonna stay a redhead.'"

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Face To Face Problem

This under-30 actress on an ensemble TV show is not a favorite of her costars.

It’s not that she is snobbish or mean to them. It’s that they physically can’t stand being in close range of her odor!

"[A couple of the actors] have complained after being in face to face scenes with her. They said that her breath smells like vomit. Duh. The whole crew knows that she is puking after every meal! Brushing your teeth just doesn’t make that smell go away. Just guessing here, but she might have some sort of eating disorder."

Spacey responded to the story by coming out in an attempt to deflect attention from the whole “attempted assault of a 14-year-old” thing.

When word got to Weinstein that Rose McGowan was working on her memoir, he reached out to offer her $1,000,000, which she refused. McGowan says, “I had all these people I’m paying telling me to take it so that I could fund my art. I figured I could probably have gotten him up to three. But I was like — ew, gross, you’re disgusting, I don’t want your money, that would make me feel disgusting.” Read the rest of her thoughts about hush money at the New York Times.

Christopher McDonald Busted for DUI

TMZ reports that Happy Gilmore star Christopher McDonald was busted for DUI in Lake Arrowhead on Saturday Night after taking in the Oktoberfest festivities all day long. McDonald tried to explain to cops that he was a celebrity and had starred in Happy Gilmore, so anyone that has seen that movie can tell you that revealing that would lead you to be handcuffed immediately. McDonald was then taken to the drunk tank to sober up, and released without bail. McDonald was last arrested for DUI back in 2013.

“It’s heartbreaking for me and my daughters that this is the road that had to be taken but it’s the only way. I felt alone in my marriage. You can do what you can to keep your family together, but you have to have willing parties. You need two people to make a marriage work, and that just wasn’t happening in our relationship.

We are doing our best to be amicable for our children. That’s our primary concern, to act in the best interest of our daughters I’m a strong person. At this point it’s scary, when you’re 53 years old, to be out there on your own. But I intend to show myself and my daughters that it can be done. I’m ready to get the old Shannon back, that’s for sure.”

David had an affair that started in 2014, and after attending couple's therapy to deal with that, the couple renewed their vows last year.

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Classic TV Affair

This actor and actress played a married couple on a famous TV show more than twenty years ago. They were not married to each other in real life.

"Very few people know that they had an affair while they were working together. Nowadays they make up fake romances to get more attention, but back then, it was all very hush hush. The affair started in the second season and went on for several years. They were very passionate about each other. Everyone on the set knew, but the audience had no idea. Quite scandalous."

It’s a classic show with a humorous bent. You have certainly seen on cable even if you were too young to watch it when it originally aired.

Tracee Ellis Ross Works Hard For Her Money

Tracee Ellis Ross recently sat down for an interview with Modern Luxury Magazine. Here's what she had to say:

On her work ethic:
“During the season [filming Black-ish], I don’t drink. I don’t see my friends. I have to let go of my social life. I use every spare moment to work or take care of myself. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a dream—so much good stuff in my life comes from what I’m doing. The fact that I’m on my second long-running show is an absolute blessing. On top of that, our show is really good—it’s not just some sitcom about, ‘Oh, no, the pot roast has fallen on the floor!’”

On growing up with famous mother Diana Ross:
“I was very aware of the fact that my mom’s job was extraordinary. When you leave your mom’s work and people are banging on your car, or she’s standing onstage in a stadium filled with hundreds of thousands of people, it’s pretty clear. She never left us for more than a week—and if she was gone, we were in constant contact with her over the phone. When she was home, she would record after we had gone to sleep...I went to school with Ralph Lauren’s and Robert Redford’s kids—people whose parents are part of the fabric of American culture. So, as kids, that was taken off the table, and we got to be children.”

On what she shares in common with her mother:
“I saw a work ethic in her that I utilize now. I know how to handle myself and take responsibility. I know to be on time and show up...If I’m going on a trip, I pack my own bag, just like my mom used to. The kinds of things that you see happening on reality shows has never been the reality of my life.”

On keeping her private life private:
“I was raised during a time when there was a clear delineation between private and public. I had a sense of what was sacred and what was for sharing...There is a long-standing tradition of women being told that we have a duty to get married and have a child and be of service to our man. In general, I push up against all cultural norms in that I believe in equality and the idea that I get to actually choose the life that I want...To a certain extent, if you put that stuff out there, then people get to commen. Romantic relationships are challenging enough without other people having opinions about them.”
