2016 is limping toward the finish line, and is determined to keep taking people until year's end. Astronaut John Glenn has passed away at the age of 95. He was hailed as a national hero and a symbol of the space age as the first American to orbit Earth. Glenn also served four terms as a Democratic senator from Ohio.
