Prince Has Passed Away

Yesterday, the world lost one of the greats. Prince Rogers Nelson passed away in an elevator at his home, Paisley Park at the age of 57. Prince won seven Grammys, one Academy Award, had many top ten hits for both himself, and other artists who recorded the songs that he wrote for them. He is survived by two ex-wives, Manuela Testolini and Mayte Garcia. Prince's son with Garcia, Boy Gregory, passed away one week after birth from Pfeiffer syndrome, a rare skull defect. Garcia suffered a miscarriage not long after Boy Gregory's passing. Read his full obituary at the New York Times.

 I know that there is rampant speculation going around about Prince's health, but he was as notorious for his privacy as he was for his musical genius. So I am going to respect that privacy, and focus on how he lived; not speculate on how he may have died. I hope that he really did believe in what he wrote, and is now in a world of never ending happiness, where he can always see the sun, day or night. Good night, sweet Prince.
