The LA Times announces that the 2016 inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame are Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, Steve Miller, and N.W.A. N.W.A had been passed over three times in the past; looks like fourth time was the charm for them! Other acts that were on the ballot this year but not chosen as inductees included Janet Jackson, The Spinners, Chaka Khan, Nine Inch Nails, The Smiths, Los Lobos, and Chic. Nile Rogers-fronted band Chic is becoming the Susan Lucci of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame; this was their 10th nomination.
