A few NYC Real Estate agents recently told Page Six about some of their experiences apartment hunting for the stars. Here are some of their anecdotes:
On Kim Kardashian:
"She showed up early and even sat down on the living room sofa with Gomes — resting her head on his shoulder to ponder the place with him in quiet repose. 'It was such a sweet moment,' Gomes recalls. But when the reality star and the broker left, the tranquility shattered. 'I never saw so many paparazzi. I couldn’t count how many there were,' he says. 'I had paparazzi on bikes grabbing onto the handles of my car, trying to follow us to the next place so they could take more pictures of her' Gomes recalls that, despite the circumstances, Kardashian kept her cool."
On Mickey Rourke:
"When Eklund was working for a different brokerage, actor Mickey Rourke strolled unannounced into his office with at least five of his dogs in tow. Rourke says he was looking for a place and, all together, they went on a showing. 'I remember thinking, ‘These dogs are probably the decision-makers,’ Eklund quips."
On Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel:
"When Gomes and Eklund were repping a listing that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel wanted to eye with their own broker at the last minute, Gomes had to contact the apartment’s owner to tell him who was coming — Gomes also made it clear that the owner had to clear out and should not say anything to anyone about the visit. Thirty minutes later, when the brokers and stars arrived, the owner, some friends and the building doorman were all standing outside to catch a glimpse of them. As the foursome took the elevator up to the apartment, Gomes broke the tension. 'I looked at [Biel] and said ‘Nice shoes,’ Gomes says. 'And Justin Timberlake started laughing, she smiled and everyone just relaxed.'"
