HGTV Flip or Flop Couple Split

People reports that stars of HGTV's Flip or Flop, Tarek and Christina El Moussa, have split after 7 years of marriage. In May, police responded to the couple's Orange County home after reports of a possibly suicidal male with a gun. Tarek told the police that responded that he was just trying to "blow off some steam," and wasn't trying to harm himself. The couple, who are parents to son Brayden, 1, and daughter Taylor, 6, released the following statement:

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage. We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed...During the [divorce] process, we are committed to our kids and being the best parents we can be. We will continue to work through this process civilly and cooperatively, and plan to continue our professional life together.”

Season 7 of their show is currently airing on HGTV, and TMZ. reports that the network plans on shooting Season 8 of Flip or Flop with both Tarek and Christina. Apparently producers think that the tension will make for some great TV.
