After every actress in every interview being asked about equal pay in theory for the past year, here's one who is actual doing something about it. The Hollywood Reporter announces that Emmy Rossum is taking a stand for equal pay and finally playing hardball in her negotiations for season 8 of Showtime's Shameless. After being paid less than the series' other lead William H. Macy since the outset of the show, Rossum is not just seeking parity with Macy's most recent raise, but is seeking to be paid more than Macy to make up for all of the years that she had been paid less. Rossum is not the only actress who has recently demanded parity with her male co-stars. Robin Wright Penn demanded (and was given) salary parity with Kevin Spacey on House of Cards, and the lead actresses on Modern Family have seen their salaries bumped up to match that of Ed O'Neill's over the years.
