Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films has to pay $1.3 million in taxes after losing an appeal in a case about shielding his earnings. E! News reports that Grint cooked the books so that he essentially payed 20 months worth of taxes in a 12 months period in order to take advantage of a lower tax rate. As for Grint, he said he knows very little about his finances, and leaves the tax filing to his father and accountant. Looks like it's time to start taking a more active role in the process!
