Jennifer Lawrence is World's Highest Paid Actress
Actress Jennifer Lawrence recently celebrated her 25th birthday, and this year she had an extra reason to celebrate - Forbes has named her the world's highest paid actress. CNN reports that Lawrence pocketed $52 million in earning last year. Scarlett Johansson came in second at $35.5 million, and Melissa McCarthy came in third at $23 million. In case you're wondering about the men, Robert Downey Jr, the highest paid male actor, took home $80 million last year. Only 4 actresses earned more than $20 million for the year, while 21 male actors did. A recent study showed that actresses reach their peak earning power at 34 and then drop sharply, while actors reach their peak earning at 51, but their earning power does not drop sharply.
