Page Six reports that rapper 50 Cent has filed for bankruptcy. The timing of the filing is interesting - he filed just 10 minutes before he was supposed to appear in court with his tax returns and a net worth statement.
You see, 50 Cent is involved in a lawsuit with Rick Ross's Baby Mama Lestonia Levinston. 50 posted a sex tape of Levinston online, and she sued him. Before the initial court appearance, 50, whose net worth has been clocked at $155 million, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy for his business dealings. That move failed to stop the trial, and Levinston won the case on Friday. Right before the court appearance on Monday to decide how much 50 owed Levinston in punitive damages, he filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I think something might be rotten in the state of Denmark. At least if the judge needs to talk to 50, he knows where he can find him...
