Neville Marriner Has Died

Neville Marriner, first music director of the L.A. Chamber Orchestra and founder of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields chamber orchestra in London has passed away at the age of 92. Marriner was also the music supervisor for the film Amadeus, and conducted the soundtrack, one of the bestselling classical recordings of all time. Marriner is survived by his wife Molly, son Andrew, daughter Susie, three grandsons, and a great-grandson. Read his full obituary at the LA Times.
