Jay Thomas has passed away at the age of 69 after a battle with cancer. Thomas is probably best remembered for his role as TV talk-show host Jerry Gold on Murphy Brown, for which he won two Emmys. Thomas also played Rhea Perlman's husband on Cheers. Recently, Thomas had a recurring role on Showtime's Ray Donovan. Thomas is survived by wife Sally and sons Sam, Max, and JT.
