Martin Landau Has Passed Away

Oscar-winning actor Martin Landau has passed away at the age of 89 from "unexpected complications" after a brief stay at the UCLA Medical Center. Landau's vast career included appearances in Hitchcock's North by Northwest, Television's Mission: Impossible, and the movie for which he earned his Oscar, Ed Wood. Landau was offered the role of Mr. Spock on Star Trek, which he turned down, and eventually went to Leonard Nimoy. Nimoy later effectively replaced Landau on Mission: Impossible. Landau is survived by daughters Susie and Juliet, and granddaughter Aria. Read his full obituary at The Hollywood Reporter.
