Joni Sledge, of the Sisters Sledge, has passed away at the age of 60. She was found dead at her home; a cause of death has not been determined. Her family released the following statement: “On yesterday, numbness fell upon our family. We welcome your prayers as we weep the loss of our sister, mother, aunt, niece and cousin.” Sister Sledge was comprised of Joni and her sisters Debbie, Kim, and Kathy.
