If you grew up watching Sesame Street, then you probably remember Sonia Manzano. Manzano joined the show as Maria in 1974 when she was a teenager, went on to marry Luis (Emilio Delgado), and have a daughter Gabi (Desiree Casado), who is all grown up. The Hollywood Reporter announces that after a 40-year run on Sesame Street, Sonia Manzano is retirning. During her tenure as both an actress and writer for the show, she won 15 Emmy awards.
