Helen Mirren to Receive AARP's Lifetime Achievement Award
Page Six reports that Helen Mirren will be this year's recipient of AARP’s 2017 Movies for Grownups Career Achievement Award. Mirren said of the honor, “I am greatly honored by this award. I consider film to be a high art form, that informs, inspires, and entertains. It is the ultimate mirror up to nature. I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that culture, both as performer and audience.” The ceremony will be broadcast on PBS on February 23rd.
