Blind Gossip Blind Item - The Fake Leak

We have so many tips pouring in from various sources about what is really going on with this couple and their sex tape that we decided to put them all together in a Q&A!

First of all, does the sex tape really exist?

"Yes. X and Y made it themselves while they were still together as a couple."

Why not just release the tape themselves?

"They first wanted to gauge the level of interest. They are creating drama and hopefully demand by pretending to “worry” that it might be “leaked” without their permission."

Was the tape stolen?

"No. They are just saying that it was stolen or that they were hacked. For some reason, the public doesn’t like it when someone says, “Hey, I’m going to release my own sex tape!” It’s more appealing and valuable (like forbidden fruit) to create drama in the beginning by claiming it was stolen or that they were hacked and that they are desperately trying to prevent its release. They are also having  a lawyer pretend to threaten lawsuits. It’s all part of the drama."

Can the tape be released without their permission?

"No. Nobody is going to mess around with U.S. Code § 2257 laws (that requires that performers provide proof that they are over the age of 18). All the participants have to sign off on it first. You have to have to have model releases on file along with photo copies of all government-issued photo IDs for it to be released. You go to jail for five years if you violate these laws.

If you see the tape (or teaser segments of it) on the internet, they are the ones who put it there. Anything they say to the contrary is a lie."

Will they release it?

"Don’t know yet. They are trying to figure out how much money they can make off of it and how much it will help their other “careers.”"

Anyone else in on this deal?

"Yes. [Y’s boyfriend] Z and [Z’s Mother] are both in on it directly, but everyone close to them knows. It’s a business deal. They will get a manager’s cut (of the revenues) and it will provide lots of drama for their TV show next season. Everyone will pretend to be all shocked and outraged and fight with each other over it."

So X and Y are both going to be on the show?

"Yes, but not as regular cast members. They will do what’s called appearance contracts. If they can create enough drama that people want to watch, one or both could get their own show. That’s the brass ring."

Why would Z and Z’s Mother do this/encourage this?

"It’s just a business deal to them. [Mother] literally walked her own daughter’s sex tape into the distributor’s office and cut that deal. This is more of the same."
