Blind Gossip Blind Item - Competitive Dating

These two film actresses are very similar. They are both blonde, over thirty, and attention seekers. Here is the gist of a recent conversation:

"My boyfriend is younger."

"Well, mine is richer."

Yes, they are also quite competitive with each other and quite insufferable!

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Stuck Between Two Options

This A-list director is in the midst of deciding on his next picture. He’s stuck between two options: 1. A genre that he’s never done before that’ll really surprise people. 2. A sequel to a much loved franchise. Either way, it’s going to be very interesting for film fans.

Who is the director?

Kardashian Korner

(Douche)Lord Disick recently called in to Australia's Kylie & Jackie O radio show, where he had this to say, as reprinted by Us Weekly:

On #SockMogul Rob Kardashian:
“Things are difficult sometimes, especially when you become in the spotlight very quickly overnight. Your whole life changes very quickly. He was just getting out of college, and then he became famous quickly, and I think it was a lot for him to handle. I don’t think that was the path he wanted to be on, and he just got caught in the middle of it. He’s one of the greatest guys I know. He’s got a good heart, and he’s just an amazing guy all round...He’s doing great — he’s doing actually unbelievable. He had to take some time off, and I think he was a little down-and-out, but he’s doing a lot better, and I think he’s very happy.”

On Kourtney:
"She's like my best friend. I love her to the day I die...I don't think anything is ever simple. We are trying to make the best of it and life goes on. Things aren't easy, [but] we are doing very well right now, and I'm just happy we are able to be on good terms at the end of the day...I never thought a lot of things were going to happen the way they did. So I don't rule anything out. I don't have plans in my mind of what's going to happen so, you know, if things are meant to be they will be."

In other Kardashian news, looks like Lammy's back on the sauce. Having a stroke would be rock bottom for some people, but not Lamar Odom. He must have watched Kim's old music video, and it drove him to drink. Seriously though, I hope he gets clean stat.

Michael Stipe: The Man Who Sold the World

Kate Upton Talks Dogs

Kate Upton is hosting the Grand Slam Adoption event in Lakeland, Florida. E! News recently caught up with Upton, where she had this to say of adopting dogs:

"I would love to have 10 dogs. (Boyfriend) Justin [Verlander] is definitely an animal lover but he is definitely holding me back from my 10 dogs. He is putting a three-dog limit on it I'm a huge animal lover and I've always been. I was raised with dogs and horses and they were a huge part of my life. So getting in and supporting a cause for adopting dogs and bringing awareness to how great shelter dogs are and how important animals are to bringing people together, for happiness and for healing, it was an obvious choice for me. This event is really awesome because the dogs enjoy running around and meeting new people and getting out of the shelter for a little bit."

Emily Blunt Talks Pregnancy The Second Time Around

Emily Blunt recently sat down for an interview with C Magazine, where she talked about pregnancy the second time around (her first child, daughter Hazel, is 2). The magazine quotes her as follows:

“The first pregnancy is the most self-indulgent thing in the world because you get massages and prenatal yoga and hypnotherapy CDs. During this one I forget that I’m even pregnant. I’m hoisting my 2-year-old around!"

On filming The Girl on the Train while pregnant:
"It was actually more physical than I realized, which worried me a little, but I wasn’t telling anyone until a little later on. I told a couple of people like [co-star] Justin Theroux pretty early because he and I were doing some of the physical stuff together. He’s my friend, and I think he knew anyway—you know how friends just have a feeling.”

On playing villains:
“You’d be surprised by how much I enjoyed [playing an evil queen] and how easy it was to be this person, which is worrying. She’s not just this rampaging villain. She’s actually someone who, as delusional as she is, is thinking she’s doing the right thing—and that was exciting to me.”

On husband John Krasinski, and the possibility of working with him:
“It’s like [having] an immediate, deeper understanding of what each other is going through. It’s sort of been necessary to both of us to have a confidant who understands your perspective, your position...I think we would prefer it to be something where we’re not married or boyfriend and girlfriend. Our chemistry is not up for public consumption. We’d like to do a play. That would be cool.”

Celebrity Real Estate - Jane Rosenthal Edition

Producer Jane Rosenthal, who co-founded the Tribeca Film Festival with Robert DeNiro and her ex-husband Craig Hatkoff, has listed her spacious co-op apartment at the Dakota for $39 million. The 7,500 square foot abode features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, two wood burning fireplaces, and 165 feet of Central Park frontage. See pictures of the property at Variety.

Former Superman Dean Cain Critiques Batman vs Superman

The Hollywood Reporter had the great idea of calling up former Superman Dean Cain and asking him what he thought about Batman vs. Superman. If you click the Hollywood Reporter link, there are spoilers in the original interview, but I have removed them below. Here's what he had to say:

"My son and I went to see it...The movie obviously was so well made; the effects were incredible. It was too long, though, and I admit, I dozed off a tiny bit but maybe that's because I was tired after a lot of traveling. Ben was great as Batman and Henry is a very good Superman. This incarnation is so dark compared to the lightness of Superman I've grown to know and love, as seen in the two versions that I grew up with — Christopher Reeves and myself. That's the only difference to me. (This movie) inhabits a dark world and Superman is such an alien in that world. Wonder Woman is really easy on the eyes, and I love that they introduced the other guys, the Justice League, because those stories are very cool. I loved how they did that."

What's your take on Henry Cavill as Superman? And his suit?
"The suit looks fantastic; the suit is amazing! I would call him lucky to get that suit instead of the Lycra that I had. Henry is a big, physical guy, and he looks “super" if you will (laughs). I've met him before and he has that Superman special something. This is a different incarnation, as I've mentioned. My favorite of all time will always be Christopher Reeves. He'll always be Superman in my eyes."

Superman has a rough go in this film. What was that like to watch?
"It's odd for me to watch that because of that incredible strength that he possesses. Whenever I played him, I played Superman as if I had a secret that nobody else knew. That secret is that you could always win. It seemed that Superman didn't have that in this film. That was different for me. I don't like seeing him get kicked around so hard. But what I did like a lot is that Superman was so heroic in this film. That is definitely in tune with the Superman that I know and love."

TV Show Roundup 3/31/16

Casting News:
Former Buffy star Anthony Stewart Head will star on Freeform's new series Guilt along with his daughter, Daisy Head. The Hollywood Reporter announces that the show has an Amanda Knox theme.

New Shows:
The Hollywood Reporter announces that NBC will air a live version of A Few Good Men, airing in 2017. The live show will be written by Aaron Sorkin, who also wrote the original stage play and movie.

Martin Sheen wants to prove to you that OJ is Innocent, so that's what he named his new show, to air on the ID Channel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. I mean, isn't it enough that he was found not guilty even though we all kind of know that he did it?

Programming Note:
Peter Dinklage will host Saturday Night Live on NBC this weekend, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Margot Robbie Packs Quite a Punch

The Legend of Tarzan director David Yates recently sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly, where he had this to say of leading lady Margot Robbie:

“If you enter the jungle with anybody, you want to go with Margot Robbie. She’s practical, and she’s smart, and she’s resourceful. And she can take care of herself. It was very important that we didn’t want it to feel archaic or dated, where it’s like, tough guy has to save the poor girl. You have to feel that she’s strong and independent, and when you cast Margot, you’ll definitely get that...They’re doing this love scene together, and I said [to Robbie], ‘Just slap Alex [Skarsgård] while you’re making love, just kind of give him a punch.’ It was sort of an earthy, sensual moment of her enjoying sex with Alex, and the only bruise he picked up during the entire shoot was probably that punch from Margot. Which says a lot about her feistiness.”

David Hasselhoff Talks Pamela Anderson's Sex Tape

Jenny McCarthy thought it would be a great idea to ask David Hasselhoff if he had seen Pamela Anderson's sex tape when he stopped by her Sirius XM show recently. Here's what he had to say, as reprinted by E! News:

"No. No! Because I knew her. It was like watching my freaking sister. No I couldn't. Did you watch it?...Oh my god. You know what… if you want to beat off to something, you should beat off to Hoff the Record. Okay! Because you know me. I'm not like your brother."

Nick Young Cheated on Iggy Azalea

So remember when rapper Iggy Azalea postponed her wedding to LA Laker Nick Young last week? She must have caught wind of his cheating. I think it's a safe bet to say the wedding is completely off at this point. People reports that Young was caught on tape talking to fellow Laker D'Angelo Russell about cheating on Azalea. So now all the Lakers are mad at...D'Angelo Russell. How does that work? Whatever. I have almost no interest in basketball, and even less interest in seeing another Iggy Azalea video, so here's PONPONPON instead to start your day. You're welcome!

Blind Gossip Blind Item - Secret Marriage

Half of this couple is into singing. Half of this couple is into acting. They are both REALLY into each other.

There’s a rumor going around that they are secretly married.

No.

Not yet.

However, the relationship is going well and they are moving towards marriage!

We hear that she has made it clear to him that she is ready to get married. NOW. She is like an impulsive teenager that way. (Remember her last impetuous marriage? Disaster!)

He is a bit more pragmatic, but he really does love her, so there is a good chance they will get engaged this year. In the meantime, she is not above doing the fake ring tease to get people talking.

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Desparate

This A-list actor is desperate for the lead role in this long running series. He’s offered to cut his fee and has been furiously pursuing the role without shame. His latest plan was to find a role that resembles it and use it as an audition of a kind.

Who is he?

Charlize Theron Talks Ghosting

Charlize Theron recently sat down for an interview with WSJ magazine, where she had this to say about Sean Penn:

“We were very, very new in a relationship. The stories saying that Sean was going to adopt Jackson and all of that were not true. It’s not something that happens in 18 months. You can’t do that to a child. So there was an understanding that I was a single mom with a very young boy who I had to put in a situation where he understood that Mommy dates but that he does not have a father, you know what I mean? You have to be very careful and very honest about that stuff. And Sean was great with all of that.

And in my honesty about wanting to have more kids, there was an understanding that a relationship had to go somewhere before it was going to be—what you hope for, which ultimately did not happen. I couldn’t foresee that, but that stuff takes time, and I think it’s my responsibility as a mother to protect my child from that. And so we had a very clear understanding.

He knew that I was thinking about filing for another adoption but that we weren’t filing together. My publicist’s going to kill me; I’m already saying too much...There is this need to sensationalize things. When you leave a relationship there has to be some fucking crazy story or some crazy drama. And the fucking ghosting thing, like literally I still don’t even know what it is. It’s just its own beast. We were in a relationship and then it didn’t work anymore. And we both decided to separate. That’s it.”

Avicii Is Retiring From Touring...For Now

Swedish DJ Avicii, 26, is retiring from touring. He released the following statement on his website, as reprinted by Us Weekly:

“Two weeks ago, I took the time to drive across the U.S. with my friends and team, to just look and see and think about things in a new way. It really helped me realize that I needed to make the change that I’d been struggling with for a while. My choices and career have never been driven by material things, although I’m grateful for all the opportunities and comforts my success has availed me. I know I am blessed to be able to travel all around the world and perform, but I have too little left for the life of a real person behind the artist.

I will however never let go of music — I will continue to speak to my fans through it. But I’ve decided this 2016 run will be my last tour and last shows. Let’s make them go out with a bang!...One part of me can never say never, I could be back … but I won’t be right back."

William Shatner Sued by Alleged Son

People reports that Peter Sloan, 59, a radio DJ, thinks that William Shatner is his biological father, so is suing him for $170 million - $30 million in compensatory damages, $90 million in punitive damages, and $50 million for pain and suffering. Yeah, suing your potential father for a large sum of money isn't exactly starting a relationship off on the right foot. Shatner has denied that he is the father. Shatner's lawyer has already sent this dude (who likes to tell people he's Peter Shatner) the following letter back in 2011: "There have been many people over the years who have claimed to be his children or other relatives. He is an incredibly busy, eighty year-old man, and is not interested in spending time discussing this issue with you or any such individuals." Sounds like dude needs to get a new hobby.

Celebrity Real Estate - Alan Ball Edition

Alan Ball and Peter Macdissi have listed their Hollywood Hills home for sale for $8.5 million. The 1.15 acre property features a main house of 6,000 square feet that contains six bedrooms, six bathrooms, and Quentin Tarantino as your next-door neighbor. See pictures of the property at Variety.

Actor James Noble Has Died

Man, the hits just keep coming. Former Benson star James Noble has passed away at the age of 94 after a stroke. Noble studied under Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio, and worked on Broadway, television, and film. Benson aired from 1979 to 1986. Noble's wife Carolyn passed away in 2005; he is survived by their daughter Jessica Katherine Noble Cowan. Read his full obituary at the New York Times.

Sean Avery Fired His Mother-In-Law

Page Six reports that retired New York Ranger Sean Avery convinced wife Hilary Rhoda to fire her mother Marianne, who had been acting as her manager. Marianne tried to get Hilary to insist on a prenup, but Sean convinced Hilary to dump Marianne as her manager, and Marianne was disinvited to the couple's October nuptials. A source close to Marianne states, "Marianne was trying to protect her daughter’s substantial assets. Sean got Marianne fired, and now he’s in charge. He controls all the people working for Hilary." They go on to allege that Sean convinced Hilary to move her money from conservative real estate investments to a private management group run by a guy who played junior hockey with Sean. When Page Six reached out for a comment, Hilary's rep responded as follows: "Someone of Hilary’s stature does not comment on personal or legal matters in the tabloids.” Oh, snap!

Dancing With the Stars Pro Allison Holker Is a Mom Again

Dancing With the Stars pro Allison Holker, 28, and husband Stephen "tWitch" Boss, 33, have welcomed their first child together. Son Maddox Laurel Boss was born on Sunday. This is the first child for Boss; Holker has daughter Weslie, 7, from a previous relationship. The couple released the following statement to People“[Maddox’s birth] was truly an unforgettable moment and we are grateful to everyone that shared in the experience and made it so monumental. Our family feels full! Maddox already has the best big sister Weslie, they have already bonded and share a truly beautiful love.”

Patty Duke Has Passed Away

It was announced here yesterday when it happened, but she deserves a full write up. Oscar-winning actress Patty Duke passed away at the age of 69 from complications of a ruptured intestine. At the age of 12, she starred as Helen Keller on Broadway in the original production of The Miracle Worker with Anne Bancroft. Three years later, she reprised her role onscreen, and won an Academy Award for best supporting actress. The following year, The Patty Duke show arrived on ABC, and aired for the next four years. In addition to acting, she was an advocate for mental health, after being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. On her website, she is quoted as follows: "I've survived. I've beaten my own bad system and on some days, on most days, that feels like a miracle."

She is survived by husband Michael Pearce, brother Raymond, sons Sean Astin, Mackenzie Astin, and Kevin Pearce, stepdaughter Charlene Gibson, and six grandchildren. Her family released the following statement: "This morning, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, matriarch and the exquisite artist, humanitarian, and champion for mental health, Anna PATTY DUKE Pearce, closed her eyes, quieted her pain and ascended to a beautiful place. We celebrate the infinite love and compassion she shared through her work and throughout her life. Her work endures..." Read her full obituary at the New York Times.

Son Sean Astin has set up a Crowdrise Page to establish the Patty Duke Mental Health Project: "Before her passing, before the suffering became too great, we talked about how the core mission of her mental health work might continue beyond her life. This initiative will fuel a multi-level approach to achieving results for those suffering with mental illness, and for their families and communities. Public awareness campaigns, lobbying efforts, and supporting a multitude of mental health programs big and small will be organized, prioritized and vigorously pursued. The funds raised here will establish the Patty Duke Mental Health Initiative: the legal expenses, the formation of a board of directors, the establishing of a location, the hiring of an experienced executive director to manage professional fundraising, initial staffing and all of the costs associated with launching an endeavor of this sort." Blind Gossip Blind Item - Hiding the Baby

You may have seen this famous actress walking around wearing baggier clothes than usual, strategically covering up her stomach with various props. Is she pregnant?

YES! Definitely.

Don’t expect an announcement until well after the first trimester, though!

"She is going to hide the bump until she really pops, which she’s thinking will be around month five or six. In the meantime, she totally cool about smiling and lying about it and saying that she’s just put on a couple of pounds.

Only a few very close friends know right now and she has to lie to everyone else. She is telling people that her schedule is too jam-packed to have a baby right now. Actually, she completely cleared her calendar of all gigs where she would have to appear on camera and won’t even think of accepting any new acting gigs until after the baby arrives."

Oh, baby!

The Gossip Life Blind Item - Save the Film Series

Several plans are in the works to save this film series. The studio executives feel as if they’ve tried so hard to get it off the ground, only for continuous failure or flops. Although they expect to make bank on their latest shot, the reviews are humiliating, especially in comparison to their rivals

A plan is to offer one of their A-list actors the opportunity to take over as the creative head of the series, but several of the lower executives believe he can’t handle the pressure right now and they should stick with their current creative head. Another plan is to alter the dark tone to a lighter one.

It’s pure chaos at this studio right now.

What is the film series?

Melissa Etheridge Talks Sperm

Melissa Etheridge recently sat down for an interview with Australia's Studio 10 talk show, where she had this to say about choosing a sperm donor, as reprinted by E! News:

"Well actually, because [Brad Pitt] was such a good friend of mine and we did consider it and yet, I looked and I saw how badly we wanted children and I thought, ‘I don't want to share this with someone who really, badly wants children because my children don't need another parent—they have two. Of course now my teenagers are like, ‘I could have had Brad Pitt as my dad!' My son said, ‘I could've been amazingly handsome!'...It's one of the reasons why David Crosby and his wife are so perfect—because they already had children. They were looking to do this as a gift. And my children are lovely and gorgeous anyway."

Radar Online Blind Item - Happy Endings

In a bombshell claim, a male massage therapist named Edward, whose full identity is being withheld, told RadarOnline.com he arranged rubdowns that included a sexual “happy ending” for John Travolta and another top A-list married male star

Edward believes the gay encounters will rock two marriages — Travolta’s to former model Kelly Preston and the other between the unnamed former Oscar contender, whom Radar has chosen not to name, and a woman well known in the entertainment industry.

Edward helps run a sex service called “Man 2 Man Massage,” which he described as “a roving gang of unlicensed massage therapists who specialize in ‘gay’ sexual favors. All the men who use the service realize that they are going to get a lot more than a massage!”

The unnamed star’s shocking encounter took place at Miami’s Four Seasons in 2011. Radar gave the masseur a polygraph test about that session and the man passed.

According to the masseur, “since [the star] didn’t resist, the subject proceeded to masturbate him and then performed oral sex on him. I had gay sex with him and he was very comfortable with it.”

Though reps for both stars vehemently denied the claims in this story, Edward claimed to Radar that he’s also arranged massages for 62-year-old Travolta, whose marriage to Preston, 53, has been repeatedly rocked by reports of Travolta’s gay double life.

In May 2012, two male masseurs filed sexual battery suits against Travolta in federal court. Travolta’s attorney vehemently denied the claims, but more men came forward with similar accusations.

This is just in from my WWE source. Ashton Kutcher Talks Privacy and Career

Ashton Kutcher recently sat down for an interview with Parade Magazine, where he talked about juggling his private life with his career. The magazine quotes him as follows:

You’re huge on social media. Do you ever want to pull back and have more privacy?
"You know what’s interesting? I don’t really share personal things on my social media channels anymore. I have pulled back. At one point I thought, “Heck, if I share things first and I have control what it is that I’m sharing, maybe it’ll devalue the tabloid story fodder.” Ultimately, that came to be something that was untrue. Now the things that I share on social media are stories that inspire ideas, that connect people, that educate people."

How do you juggle it all?
"You hire really great people. I’m surrounded by carefully curated, great people. That ‘70s Show was my first real acting job. About two years into it, I realized I had some extra time on my hands and started a production company. At one point, I was producing Punk’d, starring in Punk’d, producing That ‘70s Show, starring in That ‘70s Show, and shooting a feature film at the same time. I always like to stay busy. The thing I enjoy doing most is work."

Is there somebody who inspired your career path?

"I get inspired by all kinds of things. I’ll watch a movie and see a great performance and get inspired, or I’ll meet with an entrepreneur who’s trying to do something that’s never been done before and get inspired. I think I get inspired by everything. I have mentors in everything that I do that have been very kind and generous to me. Inspiration comes from everywhere."

How has fatherhood—to 18-month-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle—changed your life?
"It takes whatever table you’re sitting at, flips it upside down and switches all your priorities around. It’s unexplainable. I have a new number-one priority. Only parents understand the absolute awe of parenthood."

You’ve done a lot of comedy.  Are you itching to do more drama like Jobs, in which you played Steve Jobs?
"I’m not really looking at anything right now. I’m just really focused on The Ranch. I feel like what we’re trying to do with this show is not trivial. We’re breaking a lot of traditional sitcom rules and, I think, pushing sitcom towards something that is a little bit more connected for today’s audience. We just have a lot of work to keep doing because I think there are a lot of boundaries that we’re pushing currently and a lot of boundaries that we’re going to push and continue to push. I think that doing that with a careful hand is going to be really important."

Megan Fox Talks Parenting

People recently caught up with Megan Fox, and asked her if she had introduced her sons to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here's what she had to say:

“I hesitate just because … I try not to expose them to technology. It’s hard to make them super nerds if I don’t let them watch television or movies, or get on an iPhone or an iPad. So right now, I’m making my kids into artistic nature-hippies. We’ll see what happens. At some point, they’ll choose what they want to be...[It's] only challenging as a parent because so many people use that as a babysitter, and they’re like, ‘I just need an hour to clean the dishes – watch this movie or play Angry Birds on my phone.’ It’s actually really bad for their brain development, and I’m trying to breed, like, superheroes. I don’t want them to get fucked-up brains. So I just suck it up, and it’s hard, and one of us is always doing something. We don’t get a lot of rest time, but I know it’s better for them.”

On what she would like for her sons' futures:
“I would love one of them to be a painter or a poet and, like, wear scarves and walk around Paris, like angsty. Then I would like one to be a musician, maybe. Their dad Brian plays jazz drums and is a good musician. So I think one of them is going to have the spark for that.”

Renee Zellweger Talks Appearance Changes

Renée Zellweger recently went on the Today Show to promote Bridget Jones's Baby, and the hosts asked her about that time the Internet had a shit fit about the change in her appearance. Here's what she had to say, as reprinted by People:

"It's not really part of my life. It's part of the job, that I don't really experience except when I step into this arena. In my home I'm not aware of it. I don't do any kind of social media, so I don't see it. I like to have – I guess you would call them real experiences...It seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn't exist won't get off my porch until I answer the door."

Batfleck Talks Divorce

Ben Affleck recently appeared on CBS This Morning, where he addressed his split from Jennifer Garner. E! News reprints his remarks as follows:

"I am a giant fan of Jennifer. She's just a fabulous person. She's just a wonderful person. She's a great mother. She's a real talent...Life doesn't always turn out exactly the way you want. We're doing our very best and we're putting our kids first and that's how we're focusing on our day to day lives and we don't know what the future's gonna hold, but each step that we take is one where we prioritize our children and everything else comes second. And she's just so good at doing that and has set such a good example and a lead that I follow. She's somebody that I admire and respect and remain excellent friends with."
