E! News reports that Nicolette Sheridan will play the role of Alexis Carrington on the CW's reboot of Dynasty. The role was originally made famous by Joan Collins.
The New York Times reports that Matt Lauer has been fired from the Today Show after sexual misconduct allegations came to light. Both the New York Times and Variety have been working on Harvey Weinstein-type expose's about Matt Lauer in recent months; no word as to whether or not his firing will have any impact on the articles' publication.
Reboots:
Us Weekly reports that MTV is rebooting the original Jersey Shore for a spinoff called Jersey Shore Family Vacation, minus Sammi, because she can't stand to be around Ronnie. Series would be better plus Sammi and minus Ronnie.
