Anarchy Gossip has a list of restricted words, meaning that if you use one of them in your comment, your comment will automatically go into moderation to prevent it from posting to the site. However, the restricted words list has made it next to impossible to have a real discussion in Politically Incorrect.
In light of recent events, some words are coming off the "restricted words" list. Please visit Politically Incorrect for a list of those words. I know that those words can give readers a visceral reaction; if you do not want to see them in print, I would advise staying away from Politically Incorrect for a bit.
This is being done with the intention that these words be used in Politically Incorrect ONLY. Unfortunately the moderation tools are not sophisticated enough to allow those words only in that one post, so if they go up in a comment anywhere else on this site, the comment will be removed or edited around the restricted word, in line with the commenting guidelines for the site. If you see a comment that contains one of those words, outside of Politically Incorrect, feel free to flag it for moderation.
Many of you visit Anarchy in Mobile View. The commenting guidelines for the site appear at the bottom of the page in Desktop view, but not in Mobile. Here they are as a reminder:
"There are a few things that are not allowed on Anarchy - Don't tell anyone to die or to kill themselves (or any variation thereof), don't use buzzwords that would feel right at home on an alt-right website, don't dox anyone, and don’t make a comment that is overly offensive/inflammatory in a way not already outlined above. Fundraising and asking people for money is strictly forbidden.
If you accidentally post something that is in violation of those rules, the comment will be deleted - no harm, no foul, no repercussions. Swear words, naked pictures, and links are always allowed (although, to reiterate, if your link is in violation of one of the rules stated above, it will be deleted). If you ever see a post on the site that is in violation of those rules, please flag it for moderation. Occasionally, Disqus will "eat" a comment, which is as frustrating for me as it is for you.
If you intentionally post something that is in violation of those rules and/or you have a breakdown in the comments and start attacking other commenters, your comments will be deleted and you will be banned. If you have been banned and return to the site with a different Disqus account, that one will be automatically banned as well.
Comment sections automatically close six days after a post goes up to prevent spam.
If you have a question that you want a response to, including questions about why your post that violated the commenting rules was deleted, don't post it in the comments; that will not garner a response. E-mail AnarchyGossip@gmail.com. Every reader email gets a response."

Outtie Announcement: Disqus and Safari
As I'm sure some of you have noticed, Disqus and Safari have not been playing well together recently. This is a systemic issue that there does not seem to be a universal permanent easy fix for. Disqus has a couple of suggestions that might help improve things (click here for help with cookies, and click here for what to do when the comment box isn't loading).
But even when you follow the suggested steps in the provided links, Disqus still acts up on Safari. If you are of a patient sort, reloading the page repeatedly should eventually cause the comment box to load.
If you are not of a patient sort, I highly recommend accessing the site on another browser where Disqus works more consistently. Chrome, Firefox, and Opera all have both Desktop and Mobile versions that can be downloaded to your smartphone or other device on which you access the site.
Hope this helps to solve some frustrations!

A Very Special Message From Outtie - Be Excellent To Each Other
Good evening, Anarchists! A few things I wanted to address after seeing today's comments:
If you don't like another commenter, don't put them on blast on Anarchy. It's not cool. They can read it. If you are legitimately having an issue with another commenter on the site, email me about it (AnarchyGossip@gmail.com), and I'll help you with it on the down low. No one else has to know.
Having a dissenting opinion will not get you banned. The Internet is a big place; we are not always going to feel the same way about everything, and that is okay. Not every argument has to get ugly; we prove here everyday that you can politely disagree with someone while simultaneously having an interesting and enlightening discussion about two sides of an issue.
Lastly, don't let anyone make you feel self-conscious about posting. For everyone that likes the way you post, there will be someone that dislikes it. That's just the way the world works. Don't let anyone else's opinions change the way that you post, tell stories or interact with other people on the site. Nothing wrong with a long post. You do you, boos!

Outtie Announcement on Guest Comments
Dear Anarchists,
Quick update that won't affect most of you: Until now, guest comments have been allowed on Anarchy, but Disqus is supposed to send them to moderation before posting to the site. Unfortunately, a guest comment was not sent to moderation this week and posted right to the site and had to be taken down. I would have preferred that it never have gone up in the first place.
This community and the site's content is largely driven by you, the commenters. I know that you appreciate that Anarchy is kept a nice, safe space, so in the interest of maintaining that, guest comments will no longer be allowed. If you don't already have a Disqus account, now's the time to sign up for one! It might seem annoying to sign up for yet another site, but it's not that bad. Pro tip: create a separate email address just for Disqus, and make sure you "verify" the address (click through on the enrollment email that Disqus sends you). It makes commenting much easier that way!
Thank you for your understanding!

Outtie Announcement On Banishment
Dear Anarchists,
Since this website started, a few commenters have had to be banned. Do I make an announcement every time that happens? No, that would be weird. But it seems that it's time to re-address our policies here at Anarchy.
So far, here is the list of things that get you banned - telling another commenter to die or to kill themselves, spamming, doxxing, and a new one that I never thought that I would have to deal with here until it happened two weeks ago - Anti-Semitism. Hate speech has no place on Anarchy. Sorry for springing that one on you, but really I thought it went without saying. Apparently not so much, sadly. No, I'm not going to republish what was said (the whole post was pulled); it was that offensive.
It's not easy to make these decisions, and I don't take them lightly, but sometimes it has to be done to keep this the safe, supportive, and amazing community that Anarchy has become. Snarking and swearing are always welcome, as are differing opinions, gifs, and naked pictures. I know some people think we're too nice here; fuck 'em!
Let's make it another great week, Anarchists!

Happy Anarchversary!
Happy Anarchversary, everyone!
No, this is not a goodbye post. When CDaN Companion launched, it was a temporary solution to what turned out to be a permanent problem. When that become apparent, Anarchy Gossip was born. And as promised a year ago in the initial announcement, Anarchy is still ad-free and mobile-friendly!
Thank you for reading and commenting, for snarking and supporting your fellow Anarchists. You are all the reason that this site exists. You are one badass community. Let's make it another great year!

Outtie Announcement On Spam
Hello Anarchists!
Every commenting system has its assets and its drawbacks. Disqus was chosen because it's plusses far outweigh its minuses. However, one of those minuses is the obnoxious amount of spam. In order to counteract the spam, there is a short list of "restricted words" that will cause a comment to automatically get held up in moderation instead of instantly posting to the site. For every spam attack that makes it live to the site (for the short time before it gets banished), three more are prevented by getting caught in the "restricted words" trap.
The list gets updated after each spam attack with words added to maximize spam blockage and minimize real comments getting held up for a few minutes in moderation. If you've ever had a comment get stuck in moderation (and I know that many of you have), it's not you, it's me. And unfortunately it's a necessary evil to keep the spam attacks at bay. So if your comment gets sent to moderation for a few, don't worry! It will appear on the site as soon as I get in there to approve it. Comments aren't suddenly getting censored; it's just a preventative measure to keep the site spam-free.
XOXO,
Outtie
P.S. I'm not going to list which words are restricted, and if you figure it out, keep it a secret! No point in telling the spammers which words will prevent their spam from appearing in the comments; that would defeat the purpose!
P.P.S. If a word is causing too many legitimate comments to get moderated, it will be removed from the restricted list. This is a fluid work in progress. And no, I don't make any money from the site, hence the lack of ads. I only get paid in snarky comments ;)

By popular demand, Anarchy Gossip will have a "Show Us Your Selfie*" day on Saturday, July 4th. Send your photos to AnarchyGossip@gmail.com by July 3rd if you would like to be included. The photos will all go up anonymously; feel free to introduce yourself in the comments when they go up if you would like, or stay anonymous if you prefer to keep it private. A Very Special Message From Outtie
Dear Anarchists,
Anarchy, by definition, has no rules. It was my intention to keep it that way on this site, but due to the actions of one relentless commenter, we now have our one and only rule: if you tell another commenter to die or to kill themselves in the comments on this site, you are dead to this site. I have done my best to remove the comments from this one particular commenter whenever they pop up (the only time that I have ever done so) so that you don't have to read them here every day, but I still have to see each and every single one. No one deserves to be subjected to the level of hatred that this person puts out into the universe on a daily basis, and that includes me.
Because of the limitations in Blogger's platform, the comments are now hosted by Disqus. It's not the choice I would have made under any other circumstance, but it was the best available option to keep all of the features that we know and love (subscribing to comments, replying directly to other users, mobile-friendly), while enabling the banning of anyone who would tell someone to die on a public website.
In order to prevent this behavior, the default moderation is set so that the comments of verified Disqus profiles get through immediately, without moderation. If you don't wish to create a Disqus profile, you are allowed to comment as a guest, but all guest comments are automatically moderated. There will be a slight delay before your comment will pop up on the site, but it will make it up eventually. Again, I am not going to suddenly be moderating everyone's posts. People have different opinions, and are allowed to disagree and even fight. What they are not allowed to do is to tell other people to die.
I apologize for springing this on all of you so suddenly, but it had to be done for the good of this awesome community of commenters. Let's all make it a great week!

Bah Humbug From Enty
Well, look what popped up in Outtie's Inbox yesterday. More DMCA takedown notices from Crazy Days and Nights! It seems that the Artist Formerly Known As Enty (because let's face it, we all know that "Enty" hasn't been Enty for a long time now), doesn't want you to be able to read his content anywhere but on Crazy Days and Nights, but he has made Crazy Days and Nights unreadable. How's that for a Catch-22? It also makes me wonder why Enty isn't sending DMCA takedown notices to AGC Webpages, who posts blinds from Crazy Days and Nights. So does Gossip Bucket. Lest you think Outtie is making it up, here's the full e-mail below, along with a link to the DMCA takedown notice for CDAN Companion that started it all.
This begs the question, where do we go from here? Outtie is happy to keep on trucking, with slightly fewer posts every day since there will not be any blind items from Crazy Days and Nights. What do you think, Anarchists?
