Richard Simmons Suffers Big Setback in Lawsuit

TMZ reports that after suing the National Enquirer/American Media for alleging that he was transitioning to a woman, Richard Simmons has suffered a setback in the case. A judge has ruled that calling someone transgender is not defamatory, which basically invalidates Simmons' reason for suing the publisher for defamation. Simmons' lawyer is appealing that decision, citing the recent transgender military ban, and the transgender "bathroom bills" that appear in a handful of states.
