This movie star really regretted the chaos that he caused in his household.
When his actress wife filed for divorce, he spent fifteen minutes being even more irresponsible and out of control… before deciding that he didn’t really want a divorce.
She wasn’t quick to take him back, though. In fact, she set four conditions for his return.
He had to stop drinking. He had to stop doing drugs. He had to stop cheating on her. He had to be a better, happier, more engaged father to the kids.
If he did ALL of those things, he could move back home, they could stay married, and they could even add to their family (She really did want one more child).
He struggled with all four. Actually, he tried and failed on the first three multiple times, and could barely muster up the energy to do much about the fourth.
That’s why she’s moving ahead with the divorce. And that’s why he’s so depressed.
